Elizabeth's POV
The beach was the most amazing thing to ever happen to me, but I couldn't get the fear that I'm just setting myself up for heartbreak. Just as I rolled over in bed, my phone vibrated. My friend Sage texted me.
Sage: hey bestie
I can't just not respond because I have my read receipts on, so she knows I read her message, so I quickly typed.
Me: hey Sage..kinda busy. I will text you later.
Then I got out of bed, and quickly got dressed because unfortunately I'm a teenager in high school. I spread out my grey sweater, white tank, and skinny jeans across my bed, and one by one put them on. After I was dressed, I pulled my hair into a ponytail, and put on some sandals, and ran downstairs. I was never the type of girl to put tons of makeup, so I didn't take too long.
To my surprise, Cameron was in my kitchen talking to my aunt. "Oh, morning gorgeous." Cam said smiling. "Oh, um, hey." I said shyly. "Morning sweetie. Cam's just here telling me about your date yesterday." She said laughing. "What? You told her?" I said in shock. "Oh, so it was a date? I was kidding about that, but you confessed." Giselle said laughing. "I-Nevermind. Cam, are you ready for me then?" I asked embarrassed. "Oh, yeah. C'mon." He said jumping off the kitchen chair.
The car ride to school was fun considering Cam was listening to the radio on max volume. The best part of the 10 minute drive was when Drake's song Nothing Was The Same started playing, and Cam literally flipped out. I started laughing hard enough that I had to cover my face with my bookbag so he wouldn't notice my red cheeks. Once the song stopped, Cam looked over to look at me, and said, "Liz, you look like you enjoyed that." I laughed then replied, "Nah, you're weird." I slowly stepped out the car, and waited for Cam to get out. I didn't know whether today was going to be a good day or not, but I honestly didn't care if I was going to be getting rides from Cameron everyday.
