Chapter 24: Big Day

*1 MONTH LATER*

"Today is your big day Evalina." My dad says waking me up.

I open my eyes and smile real big at him.

"When will you all me Eva?" I ask.

He laughs.

"I like the name Evalina."

I smile again.

"I'm so happy you're here with me on this day." I say and give him a hug.

My graduation is going to be just like I dreamed it would be.

After I take a quick shower I blow dry my hair so I can curl it a little.

"You're going to look gorgeous in this dress." My mom says coming I my room with my dress in her hands.

"Aww thanks mom."

She sets the dress on my bed and comes over to me.

"Can you please stop growing up so fast?"

I laugh but she begins to get teary.

"Aww mom. Please don't cry. You're gonna make me cry."

She grabs a tissue and blows her nose.

"I'm sorry but... I remember when I was barely signing you up for kindergarten."

I give her a hug and wipe away my tears. I have the best mom in the world.

"Okay, I'll let you get ready." She says and walks out my room.

It actually feels like it's my wedding day instead of my graduation.

When I'm finished getting ready I walk downstairs.

"You look gorgeous." Jc says.

I give him a quick kiss.

"Thank you. So do you."

He smiles at me. I can never get tired of his smile.

"Smile for the camera!" My mom says.

We turn to my mom and smile.

I dreamed of this day for so long and it's finally here.

"Wooooo!!!" Everybody yells and throws up our graduation hats.

"Congratulations kids. You guys made it." Our principal says into the microphone, wiping away her tears.

"I'm so proud of you." My mom and dad say coming up to me.

I give them both a hug.

"I love you guys so much."

"We love you too, honey."

"Congrats babe!" Jc says and he kisses me lifting me up.

I look at him in the eyes.

"Thank you for being here."

"Anything for you."

We hear my mom snapping pictures and we laugh.

Jc looks at me again.

"Do I have something on my face?" I ask wiping my face.

"No. I can't stop looking at you since The Day We Met."

"Aww. Stop it. You make me blush." I say and kiss him.
