After a week of training Izuku has now been able to tap into his lightning which he has begun to called Nega-Electro. With this ability he has been able to produce lightning bolts of varying power but there is one huge drawback when he uses it he can fall unconscious if he uses too much energy. Although it has significant power potential it requires a lot more training to increase his limits, but what he has noticed it can be used for speed without requiring much energy to use. After their latest training session All-Might asked if Izuku would become the successor of One for All, Izuku had asked for time to think about it. It had been a few days since and he hasn't decided yet to his answer.
"With the events of the U.S.J the security of the upcoming has been increased but due to this preparation classes will be suspended for 2 weeks." Aizawa said through the bandages he is being forced to wear due to his injuries. "After these 2 weeks the sports festival will begin."
Midoriya trained for these 2 weeks trying his limits with his quirks. With this he extended the limits of his lightning which means he could do 2 full power discharges before collapsing. His shockwaves gained more control and he could now regenerate his muscles faster than they were torn apart by his quirk when he focused.
The day of the sports festival arrived all the students were ready for the first event which was announced as an obstacle race. Izuku smiled as he knew he had this event in the bag. As soon as the siren signifying the races beginning, Todoroki froze a majority of participants including Izuku. This however Izuku was prepared for he knew the speed of everyone and waited at the start using shockwaves to free himself from the ice. As the announcement of Todoroki and Bakugou being halfway through the third stage was heard by Izuku he began charging shockwaves and his electricity. As soon as he had full power he used it to enhance his speed in a mere second he was at the finish line. In his wake not a single mine had exploded and shockwaves had left the mines fully uncovered.
"Wh-what just happened!" Present Mic said as the boy who won just laughs. "That would be Izuku the hero of the U.S.J villian attack." Aizawa said. As everyone finishes the second event was announced as a cavalry battle.
"I guess I should think of a plan who would work well when we use quirks. I know who I want on my team." Izuku stated. "Uraraka, Momo-chan and that girl with the vines for hair."
They luckily all agreed. "So Momo-chan I want you to create something to prevent my electricity from hurting you guys and continuously create headbands and turn them so the points are hidden that way they have to guess which headband is real. Uraraka you should keep us hovering and Ibara you'll be the rider and you'll keep the real headband in your hair and layer vines over it when I give the signal." As they finish their plan the event begins.
Momo begins making the insulator and when it is does creates a couple headbands. "Momo create some solar eclipse glasses." She does so and when everyone on the team has a pair Izuku releases Lightning "ECLIPSE VOLT" he screams as all light is drained and a dome of darkness surrounds the dome. Izuku's team is the only ones who can see and Izuku gives the signal as they take multiple headbands and switches them with those that had been stolen. Ibara follows Izuku's signal and begins hiding the 10 million point band in her hair. Izuku then releases the darkness dome he had used too much energy to maintain the dome. "Guys I used to much energy. Uraraka can you float us high while I regain some energy." Uraraka nods and they begin to fly. Todoroki sees this and charges them using his ice as a ramp for Iida to send them into the air. As this is happening Bakugou has jumped and was using explosions to send him higher. In the ensuing air battle all headbands had been torn off team Midoriya and then the buzzer declared the end of the cavalry battle.
"TEAM MIDORIYA IS THE WINNER!!!" Present Mic announces as both Todoroki and Bakugou look at the headbands they collected from their rival's team and see all but the 10 million point band. Though there are no headbands on team Midoriya. Then Ibara reveals the 10 million point band hidden among her vines.
"With that we will be ending today's events in order to prepare those in the final event time to prepare for the 1 on 1 battles." Present mic announced.
As the contestants look at the board all the match ups for the battle tourney show up.

With this the day concluded.
The next day
"MATCH 1 SHINSOU VERSUS MIDORIYA if the previous rounds are anything to go by I am looking forward to young Midoriya's fights in this tournament." Present Mic exclaimed. Shinsou looked at Izuku with disdain as the match began Shinsou began talking "So how is a demon like you allowed to be a hero. All your powers are good for is destruction and darkness. Even my power of mind control is better suited to heroism than yours. I bet your father..." that was the last thing he said before Izuku in a flash was in his face eyes black where they were normally green and his pupils white.
"What was that about my father?" Izuku said not realizing his mind was now under Shinsou's control. As Shinsou entered his mind he was thrown from his mind as a powerful darkness protected him. "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" Shinsou started to back up as Midoriya smiled "I see you found the rage. Since my lightning quirk came in that has taken the place of all my evil emotions such as revenge and hatred and it takes a lot to get past it to actually control me. But enough of this I should end this." When he finished he threw a punch into the chest of Shinsou but it did no damage then a shockwave caused an enourmous amount of airpressure behind Izuku who everyone had realized used that to push both of them to the edge of the boundaries without causing any damage to his opponent while putting him out of the ring.
"MIDORIYA WITH AN ENORMOUS SHOW OF POWER HAS WON HIS FIRST MATCH!" Present Mic exclaimed dumbfounded by the power shown.
