Annies POV:
Everyone splashes along through the 'river'. I grin as I float along, hand in hand with Hayden. It's nice to be able to be a couple without the adults seeing out here.
Just as I think everything's perfect, Hayley jumps in the water. I pull my hand away from Hayden's and slow down next to Brooke before Hayley comes above water. She giggles and splashes me, and I fake a grin.
Never mind.
"Where are we swimming to?" Hayley asks. I love her to pieces, I just wish I could trust her not to tell Mom and Dad. Which, I would, but she's such a horrible liar.
As we approach a ladder, I climb out of the water.
"Where are you going?" Rush asks, and everyone struggles to swim against the current.
"Back to everyone else. You guys go." I fake grin. I'm just bummed I can't spend time with Hayden. Sometimes, I really hate my parents.
I walk back to the small section of lounge chairs around the pool where our families are sitting. They all laugh at a joke someone said as I approach.
"I thought you were swimming with the other kids?" Paige asks. I shake my head.
"I'm not really feeling good. Is it okay if I go back to the hotel?" I ask. I'm not lying, I have a horrible headache suddenly. Mom and Dad make eye contact before nodding. I grab my bag and walk back to the rooms, my wet feet slapping against the dry cement. I sigh once I'm back in the room.
I close the curtains so it's almost dark so my raging headache calms down. I quickly change into some comfy clothes and lay on my bed, my head spinning.
I groan and set a hand on my forehead. What's wrong with me?
I decide to just rest on the bed and watch some quiet TV. I'm bored out of my mind, but it's taking my thoughts off my problems.
Suddenly, there's a soft knock at the door. Without warning, whoever knocked unlocks the door and walks in.
"Hello?" I croak.
"It's me." I hear Hayden's voice. He drops his bag and sits on the bed. He's not in his swimsuit anymore, and I don't hear anyone else outside.
"You okay? Dylan said you didn't feel well." I says quietly, knowing I have a pulsing headache.
"And he knows you're here?" I ask, confused.
"He's keeping it a secret. He's actually mad at our parents, because he knows that if it was Brec I would do the same for him." He says huskily. His voice soothes me, surprisingly enough.
The bed creaks as he moves next to me on our bed and wraps an arm around me. I shut my eyes, listening to his soft breathed tickle against my neck.
"Get some rest. I love you." I hear Hayden whisper. Before I can answer, I feel my body drifting off to sleep.
I couldn't love anybody more.

Brooke's POV:
"I'm hungry. Can we go back?" Hayley whines. I agree, since my stomach is growling loudly as we speak. I follow her and the rest of the group outside of the river and towards the main pool, where the adults have made camp for the day.
"Where's Annie?" Hayley asks. Rush and I glance at each other. Good question, Hayley. Also, wheres Hayden?
Oh.
"She didn't feel good, sweetie. Speaking of missing people, where's Hayden?" Ms. Katie asks. I quickly cover for them. They owe me so so much.
"He went to the diving boards with some guy. I think he said he knew him from somewhere, I don't remember." I act. Thank god for those classes I have almost daily back in Malibu.
"Hmm. Whatever, as long as he's back later." Hayden's dad nods. I sigh in relief, thankful Hayley didn't notice.
We order some food and eat in silence. I can feel my face heating up, only because I'm nervous. I can't keep doing this for Annie and Hayden, or one day I'll just break down and admit everything. That's just how I work.
I quickly eat and head straight back to the river with Rush again. I jump in, the cool water soothing my splotchy red face.
"What's wrong?" He asks, noticing how nervous I am when I come above water. My brother knows me too well.
"I'm so scared that Hayden and Annie's parents are going to find out. One slip up, and it'll be all my fault." I rant, holding on to the ladder as I wait for Rush to get it. He slowly steps in, continuing to listen.
"I'm going to talk to them when we get back. I just can't keep lying to the parents." I admit. Suddenly, I flinch as I hear a voice.
"Lying to us about what?"
