Hayden's POV:
I groan and stretch my body as I wake up. Looking around, I notice Annie snuggled up next to me, as usual. Rush and Brooke are still bundled up in their beds as well.
I get out of bed and head to the balcony to watch the crimson sunrise, and take a seat in the small metal chairs left by the hotel.
Few people are awake, other than the workers preparing for today. They rush around the hotel paths, cleaning the pools and stocking the food stands.
I jump when I see someone sit next to me. Much to my surprise, it's Rush.
"I can't believe we only have a week left." He says, staring at the blazing morning sun.
"Me either." I sigh.
We sit in silence, both speechless from the view.
"Seeing you guys together makes me really miss Kacy." Rush chuckles. They've been flirting for years, get they still aren't dating. I shake my head and smirk at him.
"You've got to make a move on her." I tease him. He punches my shoulder, and we laugh. Just like old times.
Annie breaks into our conversation, dragging her tired body towards me. She positions her chair so she can lean against me, struggling to even keep her eyes open.
"Aw, wittle Annie is awake." Rush teases. He's like a brother to her. She punches his shoulder, which makes him glare jokingly.
"It's really pretty out." Annie slurs, too tired to even speak properly. I nod, by stop when it disrupts her peace against my shoulder.
Soon, everyone in our room is finally awake. Annie and I order breakfast, too tired to leave the cozy hotel room.
"Screw you guys, we're going for breakfast." Brooke giggles, slipping on a dress in the bathroom.
"Have fun in the freezing cold." Annie shivers. You might be thinking 'It's Hawaii, what do you mean cold?!' But many would be surprised. Mornings here are quiet chilly.
Over they're out, I wrap Annie in blankets and lie next to her to warm her up. Soon enough, she stops complaining and finally heats up. Just after, our food arrives. Annie got some hot oatmeal, and I got sausage & eggs.
We eat up, rushing back into our comfy kid like little kids. Annie laughs when I tickle her to get her to move over, trying her best to get me back. After a while of tussling, we finally cuddle up together.Annie's POV:
Hayden rests his bare chest against my body, arm wrapped around my waist. I could lie here literally forever. Not only is it comfortable as ever, but it's with the boy I love.
Bored and sleepy, I get up from his embrace to grab the TV remote. I can feel Hayden's eyes tracing over the blue silk romper pajamas I'm wearing. I lay back down with him, covering myself up to my chin to tease him.
"Come on, you look cute." Hayden whines, kissing my cheek. I smirk and watch the TV, staying how I am.
He tugs at the blankets, and I giggle as he tries his hardest to peak at me.
Finally, I give in, grabbing his face to kiss him. We fall back into the pillows together, and Hayden turns off the TV.•
Hayden's POV:
I lie awake as Annie sleeps even more, her head and hand resting on my chest.
Suddenly, the door opens, and my brothers come in. As usual, they have horrible timing. I feel like I've been in this situation before... oh right, I have.
"Hey Hayden, wanna come to the beach with us?" Hunter asks, half yelling.
I shush him, pouting at Annie. She squirms, turning her head into my chest more.
"You little nasty-"
I shush him again, as he doesn't seem to get that he has to be quiet. I've seen Annie awaken from a nap, and when she naps, it means she's seriously tired.
I don't think I've ever seen someone so angry.
"You coming or not?" Dylan asks me.
"When?" I whisper.
"In about and hour. Maybe two." He shrugs. I nod, shooing them away. I hear them laughing and whispering as they walk away. I blush, embarrassed from the situation.
I try to get out of bed with no luck. Annie squirms each time, gripping onto me like a kid clings to a teddy bear.
I come to the conclusion that I'll have to wake her up.
"Babe. Wake up. I'm sorry." I say, rubbing her arm. She squints at me, her grip loosening.
"What?" She asks.
"I'm gonna go to the beach with my brothers and the other kids. If you wanna come, you can." I tell her.
She stretches her small legs and arms.
"5 more minutes." She pleads, hiding underneath her pillow. I laugh, watching her struggle to get comfortable.
I quickly change into my swimming shorts, grabbing a shirt to change into along with a towel. After giving Annie her promised 5 minutes, I wake her ho again. She hesitantly wakes up, changing into her own bathing suit and clothing. I grab a towel for her, and we leave to knock on my brothers door. They open on the first knock, already looking ready to leave. We all walk down to the beach, where Brooke and rush have already set up a spot. Complete with umbrellas and snacks, it's the perfect spot.
Annie is now rushing with energy, running into the water to cool down from the now scorching heat. I chase after her, splashing her with the salty water. She laughs, splashing me back. We fight back and fourth like this for at least ten minutes, until she accidentally splashes Jimmy.
"Oops." She giggles, covering her mouth.
Jimmy, who hasn't even moved, takes his strong arms and pushes a huge among of water to Annie, completely soaking her. She laughs, fighting back. Everyone else joins in, and soon were in a full on war.
While Annie is distracted, k come up behind her and pull her into the water with me, up to our shoulders. Well, my shoulders. If she was touching ground, she'd be completely submerged. I'm holding her, since she's already shocked from the cold.
"I hate you!" She squeals, the cold water rushing over her shoulders and lapping at her neck.
"You love me."
