You screamed when you opened your eyes.
You looked so scared and so beautiful and messed up all at the same time and it was breath taking.

I wrapped my arms around you and held you like there was no tomorrow, whispering words of comfort in your ear.

I know that I'm messed up.
I know that I'm messed up for purposely making you scared and comforting you.
But what else can I do to get you to notice me.

I love you too much.

"-Shhh... It's okay. I'm here now. It's fine. You're with me now. You're okay now. He's gone now"

I think I got used to lying.
I think I got used to pretending that I was two different people.
Maybe I am.

The sound of our breathing is all I hear.
That is until you completely break down and cry in my arms.
Your legs go weak and you practically cling onto me for support as you cry your heart out.

And I smile.

"Want to have lunch out tomorrow?" I ask, once you have calmed down.

Right now I'm accomplishing my goal.
I'm walking you home.
With our fingers interlocked and our hands swaying back and forth.

"Okay..."
You mutter.
I wait for you to enter you home before breaking into a big smile.
