Cole X Reader - Part 10 (Hints and Lies)

The time came to when you and Cole met up at Starbucks.

"You showed up?" You smiled at Cole as he sat down opposite you. "Yeah, why wouldn't I?" Cole asked you. "Because I know what happened to Nya yesterday. I was at the beach but I must have left when it all happened." You gave Cole a fake lie. "I know, it's been a living nightmare the last couple of days." Cole mentioned. "Ohh no, how come?" You questioned him as you leaned over the table to hole his hands. "You wouldn't want to know?" Cole leaned back and put his hands around his head. "Wait... Are you ok?" Cole quizzed you out of nowhere. "...Yes... Why?" You raised a brow. "Well I've touched your hands before and they weren't this cold, those are like the hands that belong to a corpse." Cole pointed out as he then held your hands himself. "It's cold in here and they have the air-conditioning on." You rapidly made up an excuse. "But you're sweating." Cole also pointed out. "What are you nervous about?" Cole questioned straight after. "...Nothing. No... reason." You struggled to say as your eyes changed back to their normal colour, as you blinked. "What's wrong?" Cole whispered to you. "I said nothing!" Your voice strictly sharpened as you stood from your chair and headed for the door. "What the fuck just happened?" Cole scratched his head.

"Kai, Skylar stay in here. (Y-N) has gone outside and I need to find her." Cole quickly gave them an update. "Ok, I'll let the others know back at the Bounty." Kai opened his phone. Cole rushed out of Starbucks searched for you, but you were nowhere to be seen. (Y-N)!" Cole called your name.

*BING!* Cole's phone came up with a message from you.

You: I'm down the ally next to Starbucks.

Cole: I'm coming. Xxx

Cole found you a minute later soon as you told him your destination.

"You ok?" He asked you once again. "No. I can't carry on being like this any more, Cole." You leaned yourself off the wall. "Like what?" Cole helped you stand up straight. "I just want to live a normal life." You mentioned. "You are though." Cole replied as he played along as if he knew nothing about your real life. "I'm not, honestly. I'd tell you but I don't dare." You commented back to him. "Come on. I'll walk you back to your house." Cole stepped in and hugged you.

You hugged Cole back and then walked back to your house while holding hands.

"You wanna come in for a bit or do you have to meet your friends?" You opened your front door and gave Cole an offer. "I think I best go. I have some stuff to do myself later." Cole kindly said. "Ok, see you around then." You smiled. "Yeah." Cole gave you a tight hug and gave you a quick kiss before he went back to the Bounty.

Phone Conversation.

Kai: "Hello?"

Cole: "You can go back to the Bounty now."

Kai: "I'll notify the others to get ready?"

Cole: "Ok."

End of Phone Conversation and back to the Bounty.

"So are we all ready to go hunting later?" Cole stepped through the door of the Bounty. "Yep all good. Just need the time to pass now." Lloyd gave Cole a thumbs up. "I hope it all goes to plan. Because if it doesn't, there may be no other opportunity like this ever again." Garmadon joined in with the conversation. "The only way this plan isn't gonna work is if she knows we're coming after her." Jay told his prediction. "Even if she doesn't know you're going after her, she's still be stronger than some of your powers combined together." Wu sipped his tea. "I also have a tip for you all too. If you see her eye's go completely red, run and hid." Garmadon told the ninja. "Why? What does that mean?" Lloyd asked with curiosity. "She'll do a mega strike that can kill a person in one hit, but once she's done this strike, it can go blind for a couple of seconds." Garmadon announced a move that hasn't been spoken of in years. "What is this strike exactly?" Zane questioned. "Only four people in the world know how to do this strike and (Y-N) is one of them. Every country in the world has put a ban on the mega strike as it'll shut down where you've been hit in milliseconds." Garmadon gave out a little history info lesson. "How do you know that she knows this deadly strike?" Kai asked Garmadon. "When I worked with the Overlord, I also allied with (Y-N) too, she demonstrated the strike on a prisoner she captured that killed him instantly. I turned her down and paid her to leave me alone, only because I felt a tiny bit of goodness inside of me at the time." Garmadon came out with the truth of how he knew you before you came a bigger Law Breaker. "So that's why there is a picture of you and (Y-N) in the newspaper shaking hands." Cole clicked his fingers as his question was now answered.
