I left the rock environment behind me and I now trudged through the desert area. Wind and sand blew through my face and I covered my eyes with my arm. It was hot but I felt cool, maybe another perk of having snake DNA. I wondered how long I had been in the simulation and I started jogging slowly, wanting to make up for lost time.
I didn't encounter any soldiers but I did see a pack of coyotes heading straight towards me. They barked at me as they surrounded me, there was 6 of them. One jumped at me but I threw it aside into another one before picking up a nearby log. "C'mon guys, I don't want to hurt anyone" I said to them. One barked at me and charged, I smacked it on the side of the face with the log. It whimpered and darted away.
I charged at them and they ran away from me, realising that I was too big of a threat. I sighed and dropped the log before jogging off to the fourth and final area. As soon as I stepped onto the snow, my feet sank into it. Crap, this would slow me down. I struggled out of the deep patch before finally finding a hard path to walk on. My temperature shifted and I began to feel warm, despite the freezing coldness of the snow.
Not but 10 minutes in and I had already found the soldiers of the area. They had snow suits on and they were armed with AK-47s. I saw an ice cave not far away from me. I trek up there and stop in my tracks when I see a polar bear sleeping on the floor of the cave. I walk up to it slowly and kneel in front of it. I slowly rested my hand on it's white fur and it woke up slowly, it looked at me up and down before letting out a low growl, it didn't see me as a threat. I smiled at it and the creature stood up with me before following me outside.
"Can you distract them for me?" I asked the polar bear and it snorted in reply, I giggle at its cuteness and point at the soldiers. It walks off to the armed me and I watch it as it roars and attack them. I use the polar bears distraction to slip away unnoticed and I run as I can see a grass clearing with the safe sitting on top of a grey bench. I inhale a gulp of air before trying to unlock it. I lean into the lock and listened for the faint clicking sound of the tumbles.
I felt the vibrations as I turned the lock I smiled as I heard the first tumblr click and continued onto the next. Sweat ran down the side of my forehead as I concentrated the next one clicked and I silently praised myself. I cleared my head a focused on the last one, turning the wheel of the lock slowly. I heard the last click and I laughed in disbelief moving back from the safe and taking the lock off the safe. I opened the hatch of the safe and inside I found a single red flag. I grabbed the flag and held it up.
A siren sounded and a voice over the loudspeaker said "Congratulations, Ashley, you completed the simulation".
