SONG - "Sorry" by Gavin James

Blaise POV

She fell off her chair laughing. Like literally pissing herself.

"Shit Dylan! Are you okay?" I asked when I saw her wince. She must've landed on her side when she fell of the chair. I offered her my hand, which she gratefully took.

"I'm sorry, but what?" She asked, sitting back down safely on her chair.

"For the project, we have to pretend to get married and write a presentation on all of the responsibilities and things that come with marriage. Then after a couple of weeks, we get a baby and we have to write about how we take care of it and how to keep it healthy and all that jazz."

She just looked at me for a while, "are you pulling my leg Blaise?"

"Princess, why would I be pulling your leg? Do I look like I want to be planning a proposal or a wedding anytime soon?" I chuckled.

"Proposal?"

"Well yeah... Mr. Skylar wants it to be realistic, so we have to propose by the end of the Friday, so that next week we can all get 'hitched'."

"The fuck?" She asked incredulously.

"I know, a tad extreme. But hey it'll be fun won't it?" I hoped she would be happy about the project, because I'm not going to lie, I was glad I got partnered with her.

Maybe then I will learn more about the mystery of Dylan Walters.

"Hey Blaise!" I turned around when I heard my name being called. I saw Dylan running towards me, her books in hand and a smile on her face. When she reached me, I took the heavy folders she was holding, and carried them as we walked.

"Thanks," she smiled up at me. God she really was beautiful.

"No worries," I smiled back. "What did you need?"

"Oh nothing... I was just wondering when you wanted to meet up to discuss the project."

I stopped walking when we reached the car park, and turned to her.

"You could come back to my place now if you want," I asked, praying that she would say yes.

"Oh, I kind of promised Jamie I would meet her after school..." My smile dropped, but I tried to cover it quickly. She must have seen it though because she bit her lip and looked over at Jamie, who was walking out of the school entrance.

"Well... I 'spose I could text her and tell her I'll just meet her tomorrow." She said with a glint in her eyes.

"You would?" I asked, a bit to eager for my liking.

"Yup. Now let's go before she comes over here and starts questioning me like a goddamn detective," she chuckled and looped her arm through mine.

She stared at me, I stared back.

She stuck her tongue out, I stuck it out back.

She poked my nose, I... blinked.

"Yes! I win! Now pass me the cookie dough ice-cream peasant!"

I grumbled, but still passed her the icecream.

"Don't worry Blaisey... chocolate it still good!" She teased, ruffling my hair.

We were currently sitting in my kitchen, fighting over who got the cookie dough icecream.

"It's not as good as cookie dough though," I whined. I had been waiting to eat that icecream all week, but Blaise had insisted we have a staring contest to see who got to eat it, considering it was her favourite flavour too.

"I'm sure you'll survive," she rolled her eyes.

We took our icecream upstairs to my bedroom, where we sat on my bed cross-legged and faced each other. I was still grumbling about the icecream when a spoon was shoved in my mouth.

"There. That should shut you up." Dylan smiled at her handy work, before taking her spoon back and carried on eating her icecream as though she didn't just feed me.

Ha. I thought, she just indirectly kissed me without even knowing it.

"What are you smiling about?" Dylan chuckled, she must've seen the mischievous smirk that was getting bigger the more I thought about her actions.

"Oh, nothing. Just the fact that you indirectly kissed me, that's all." Her eyes widened when she realised her mistake, but she quickly covered her surprise with a smirk.

"Well, you don't seem to upset about that do you?" She asked, well more like stated.

"That's because I'm not," I smiled back, putting my icecream tub on the bedside table and sitting closer to her. "Are you?"

"No" she replied a little to quickly, and blushed.

"So you wouldn't mind if I kissed you right now?" I inched closer to her, and her breaths became shorter as her eyes clouded over.

Just as I was about to close to distance between us, she pushed me away, a frown on her face as though she was debating something.

"Um-ah... So the project!" She quickly recovered, and sat back.

I frowned at her sudden change in mood, but sat back nothing the less.

"Yeah... the project..." I scratched the back of my head, not knowing what to say.

"So..." she started to say.

Nothing was said for a while, apart from Dylan starting sentences but then abruptly stopping and waiting a few seconds before trying again.

"Geez Dylan! Just say what you want to say why don't you?" I exploded.

"Sorry Blaise, I didn't realise it was my fault you tried to kiss me! You're the one who made this situation awkward!" She yelled back.

"Argh! You're so... so..." I tried to calm myself down, so that I didn't say something I'd regret later on.

"So what Blaise?" She asked, "You know what? I don't want to know anyway. I'm just going to leave, and I'll talk to the teacher tomorrow about swapping partners... I'm not sure I can work with you anyway!" She sprang off the bed and stormed down the stairs.

Shit, this was not how I planned this evening to go.

"Wait! Dylan!" I called out after her. I saw her in the living room, putting her stuff back into her backpack before flinging it onto her shoulder.

"What?" She snapped. "Are you going to say all of this sweet stuff to me and apologise, only to be a jerk to me again!?"

I stood back shocked, before I made my decision.

"Fine. You don't want to anything to do with me so be it. Then I don't want anything to do with you either!" I snapped back.

"Fine." She huffed.

"Fine."

Then she left, slamming the door on her way out.

I could already feel the regret creeping up on me.

What have I done?
