SONG - "My Happiness" by Powderfinger

Blaise POV

My stomach hurt and I was in tears as I threw my head back in laughter.

Dylan was trying to sing along to 'Pocketful of Sunshine' on the radio as we drove back to my house. She had her arm out the window, and was banging her head to the music.

"Turn it up! Turn it up!" She said, smiling. I laughed, the music was already loud but I turned it up anyway.

"I got a pocket, got a pocket full of sunshine. I got a love and I know that it's all mine. Oh-oh-oh-oh."

We pulled up in my driveway, Dylan was still dancing in her seat, and gave me a pout when I turned off the car.

I leant over the console and kissed her soft lips, "Princess, don't do that."

I pulled back, and saw her blush lightly before she got out of the car. As we made our way to the porch, I took her hand in mine and I saw her smile as she looked down at them.

I was about to knock when the door opened, just as my fist was about to make contact with the wood.

"Dylan!" My Mum enveloped her in a hug, and kissed her cheek. "It's so nice to see you again, sweetie. How have you been?"

She pulled Dylan through the doorway and down the hall, leaving me standing there with a stunned look on my face.

"Uh Mum?" She turned around mid sentence with Dylan.

"Yes, dear?"

"Your son?" I asked, gesturing to myself. I saw Dylan snort, before covering it with a cough when I glared at her.

"Oh yes, how was your day dear?"

"Well now that you ask, it was-"

"So Dylan..." My Mum said as she led her into the kitchen, leaving me alone in the doorway yet again.

I shook my head, smiling at my mother. I walked into the kitchen, only to find Dylan sitting there at the table while my mother sat opposite her, talking animatedly.

"Mum, Dylan and I have to do stuff for school," I said, and walked over to Dylan.

She scrunched her nose, "What stu-"

I gave her a look, "Ohhhh, that stuff," she recovered.

My Mum looked between us, before sighing. "Alright well I'll call you down for dinner later. Are you staying Dylan?"

Dylan looked at me, I nodded, and she replied with a yes to my mother.

"Your mother won't mind would she?"

Dylan tensed next to me, before letting out a quick, "No."

"Alrighty, call us down later Mum." I said and pulled Dylan upstairs before she could reply.

"You okay?" I asked Dylan. We were lying side by side on my bed, and Dylan still hadn't said anything since we got up here.

"I have to go," she said, and made a move to get off the bed.

I pulled her back down. "Wait, Princess-"

"No, I think I better go." She grabbed her jacket and was nearly out the door before I stopped her again.

"Dylan," I said sternly.

She whipped around, "What! Can't you see I want to go home?"

"Sorry, you want to go back... there?" I asked incredulously. She looked taken aback, hurt.

"Oh, so now were back to this, are we? Arguing and yelling at each other!" She said.

"No Dylan-"

"It's not even any of your business what goes on in my life anyway Blaise! So do me a favor and piss off!" She yelled.

I couldn't let her go again, and she needed to understand where I was coming from.

I walked over to her and stopped her from opening it, before turning her around and pushing her against it.

"Blaise-"

"Princess, just listen to me okay?" I begged with my eyes, to which she hesitantly nodded.

"I care about you Dylan, a lot. And so help me God, if I let you walk out of this door again, and back to that so called home of yours, I will never forgive myself."

She looked down, but I lifted her chin up so that she could see the seriousness in my eyes.

"Please, let's not fight over this. If you don't want to talk about it then don't. Don't talk about. But if you do, just know that I am here, okay?" I asked, tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear.

"I'll always be here," I whispered, before leaning in to kiss her.

It didn't take long for her to respond, and the sound of her jacket hitting the ground as she hooked her arms around my neck, made me pull away.

"Maybe we should-" I was cut off when Dylan crashed her lips back to mine. I groaned and in turn lifted her up and wrapped her legs around my waist, before pushing her up against the door harder.

Before long, we had run out of breath and I kissed down her neck, earning a pleased moan from her. She took a sharp intake of breath when I sucked on the join between her neck and shoulder, which only encouraged me to continue.

She gasped, "Bed. Now."

I carried her over to my bed, and gently lowered her down trying not to put all my weight on her. She arched her back, and ran her hands threw my hair, effectively closing the gap between us once more.

Somehow, she had managed to slip my shirt off, and was now running her hands up and down my torso. I started to unbutton her shirt, when the door flung open.

"Dinner's read-Oh!" My mother said, but stopped when she saw our compromising position.

Dylan pushed me off of her, and I fell to the floor with a thud. "Shit!"

I sat up and saw Dylan looking at me sheepishly, "Sorry?" The smirk on her face didn't go unnoticed though.

"Ah, Dylan..." my mother trailed off, pointing to her chest.

"Motherfucker," I heard her mutter, before quickly buttoning her shirt up.

I stood up and looked around for my shirt, which was conveniently thrown towards the door.

"Mum, can you pass me my shirt?" I asked sheepishly, scratching the back of my neck.

She looked down at my shirt, then back up at me.

"How about I serve dinner and pretend like I didn't see this?" She asked.

Dylan nodded animatedly, "Please do." With that, she shut the door and went to serve dinner.

I looked over at Dylan, who was trying to fix hair.

"Whoops?"
