SONG - "I Want It That Way" by Boyce Avenue

Blaise POV

Dammit Blaise.

You stupid motherfucker.

You just had to go and ruin something perfectly good in your life.

"Fuck!" I shouted, and punched the wall next to me, not even wincing when the plaster smashed through and my knuckled started to bleed.

"Blaise!" My mother ran into the room, a look of pure worry and shock on her face.

"What is wrong with you? You've been acting odd ever since I got home! And don't go smashing my walls, I brought you a punching bag for a reason you know!" She exclaimed.

"Sorry! Sorry... it's just... there's this girl, and I think I just royally fucked it up what little chance I had with her," I sighed, plopping down onto my bed.

"Blaise..." my mum walked over to where I was sitting and sat beside me.

And she hugged me.

She always knew when someone needed a hug. That was one of the many great things about her.

"Blaise, I'm sure it can't be that bad. You'll be able to fix it with her, son" she assured.

"No... No I don't think I can... You don't understand Mum, I was a total dick to her and I didn't mean any of it... it was just in the heat of the moment."

"Never say never Sweetie. I want you to make it up to her by Friday, because you're going to invite her to dinner that night. Understand?" She asked, a brow raised and a stern look.

"But..." I started to argue.

"No. She's coming and that's final, otherwise I'll hunt the poor girl down and drag her here myself ok?"

"Okay"

"Good. Now stop moping around and fix that wall!"

Hi Dylan, sooo about last night... I'm sorry.

No, definitely not.

Hey Dyl...

Dyl? Wtf?

I was psyching myself out too much. I just needed to tell her, get straight to the point, keep my cool and hope that she would forgive me.

Okay, you can do this. You're Blaise James. You can do anything.

Taking a deep breath, I hopped out of car and headed for the school. The looks I was receiving didn't go unrecognized. I could see girls looking at me like a piece of meat, and guys looking like they wanted to fight me.

But I just ignored them. I had one person in my mind at the moment, and I would not stop until I had her.

Well, not have her but... shit

I think I liked Dylan.

No, that wasn't possible, I'd only just met her. You can't like someone you just met the other day right. Right?

Fuck it, there's no point in denying it.

I entered the school trying to hide back a smile.

I like Dylan.

I was receiving some funny looks from students passing by, but I think that was because they were shocked that I could actually smile. I didn't care though, I just needed to make things right with Dylan.

I made my way to her locker, hoping she would be there before first period, but she wasn't.

She wasn't in first period either. Or second. Or third.

I felt worried knowing she wasn't here. I mean, anything could have happened to her.

Maybe she was abducted by aliens.

Maybe she was kidnapped.

Maybe she was –

My thoughts were cut off when I saw a hand waving in front of my face. I blinked and noticed Dylan's blonde friend standing in front of me expectantly.

"What?" I said gruffly.

"Geez Mr. Grumpy, I was just wondering if you have seen Dylan around. I haven't seen her all day, and thought she may have told you, considering she was at your house last night and all."

I blinked.

"Why would you think she'd tell me?" I asked.

"Well, she was talking about you this week, and I guessed you guys were friends... unless you're not... wait are you friends? Or are you dating! I'm going to kill that hoe for not telling me, little bitch. I can't believe she's keep something like this from me, I'm gonna– "

"Jane!" I interrupted her rant.

"It's Jamie," she corrected.

"Jamie. Shut the bloody hell up would you! I don't know where she is, I've been looking for her all day. And no, we're not dating," I said with finality in my voice. If she didn't know where Dylan was then I don't see the point in needing to talk to her.

Just then Jamie got a message.

"Ha! Silly me..." she laughed, and starting texting on her phone.

"What?"

"Oh, Dylan just messaged me. Said she was sorting some things out at home and wants me to go over tonight to help her. I forgot she told me last night she wouldn't be here today"

"Are you serious!" I asked incredulously, "I have been worrying about her all day, and this whole time you knew where she was!" I yelled, getting angry.

"Calm your farm mate. She's fine, but it's sort of cute how you're worrying about her," her eyes gleamed mischievously, and she took out her phone before furiously typing.

"What are you doing?" I asked, not having a good feeling about this.

"Oh, just telling Dylan how concerned you are about her," she said without looking up from her screen. "I better go, bye Blaise!" Jamie called over her shoulder as she walked away.

What the hell just happened?

"So dear... how did it go today? Did she forgive you?"

"No Mum, she wasn't at school today," I grumbled, throwing myself onto the couch.

I needed a big gesture. Something that would make her forgive me for sure.

"Hey Mum,"

"Yes sweetheart,"

"How would you propose to a girl?"
