I need a metaphor to help the understanding seep in. Something to chew on and savor. Stubborn over-complication or beautiful ambiguity? Strip it down, speak for clarity. Give me a reason, make it true. You speak of distance as something to conquer. With scraping hands and a twisted smile, experience the desperation. Failure felt like fresh cuts, shame set in, imagine wine stained carpet. Staring at white walls for hours to conceptualize the pain.
Get close to me. I'll show you where the bricks are hidden. My reasons are fragile, tell me everything, a simple song. Fight to keep her name off the page, save yourself from being wrong. Be cautious of who you let into your ribcage because that's your own space. Honestly didn't think I'd be alive this long. So I'll stay hopeful until tomorrow, and try my hardest to make it there.
Hey, you're 17 now! I know you have a lot of ideas about how you'll do things after high school. Try not to get ahead of yourself, example " you can't pull the trigger to shoot the gun if it's not loaded." Realize your intentions! Yes, you have plans...but your plans need plans, so when it all falls apart you'll still have a plan. Each day you're getting closer to what you want. Always be sure of what you want. Even if that means you're sure you don't know what you want...at least you're sure. Do your very best and never let other peoples disagreements hinder you from reaching your hopes and goals.
Kingsmen in the valley what lies have they sold thee? The river passes along. Sip from cold hands dipped gently in for refreshment. Listen, the breeze sings a song. Men of the river try to understand the cries of city dwellers. Oh, how many of their problems are created out of thin air. Rest every case at the feet of Him who changed history, it's a controversy, won't you believe. Patience a virtue, effort a matter of choice. Both in practice over time will grow stronger.
Traveling soul, what does thou searcheth of? A satisfaction unknown. A pursuit divine. In this life journey beyond the end of self-realization. Cutaway expectations to see clearly. To see such complete brokenness. Slice a cut right through the middle. Understanding is important for growth. Facts, knowledge equal empty actions. Application proves mastery. A hollow center once filled with fire hints to its former glory. Smells linger, blacken ash tells a story.
