The day was April 20th, 1991, a young boy was born at four in the morning, in Panama City, FL. He weighed ten pounds and eleven ounces. This moment was when our young Brandon drew his first breath into the world. With platinum blonde hair and deep blue eyes, he at this stage in his life was innocence of the purest, with absolute no thoughts of what tragic and extraordinary events that will take place over his life.

It was roughly around May in the year of 1995, young Brandon had turned four years old. This event brought onto him his diagnosis of Diabetes; the first milestone of many a tragedy...Being poked and prodded, the boy undergone a numerous number of tests, including blood tests and more invasive tests as well. His admittance to the hospital, for what seems like the longest three weeks of his life, had actually kept him entertained. The staff had provided a game system, he enjoyed the video games, as they kept him entertained during his stay. It kept his mind off the recent event.

After the hospital ordeal, the diabetes added just one of many complications for his soul. When he finally was able to go home, he was having to deal with constant insulin shots to keep him from getting sick, no more excessive sweets and sugary drinks, what typical children enjoy drinking and eating. Now everything has to be in moderation.

As his life progressed, nothing was ever the same for the child. Around all of the other children, he was being ridiculed for his difference from the others. Through it all, his mind state remained positive, his smile still held happy as any child could. It was his heart, for which, weighing heavily on his being. Loneliness is a deadly device, for which kills easily. Such travesty needs eradication, so that it never plagues innocent lives.

Such hope can only come from this child, he is the change the world so desperately needs.
