Yo
Amara's POV
The next week consisted of Damien, Rome and my mother going out in search for the weapon while Elias accompanied me to the forest where I practiced new spells which mother would ask me to. Day by day, I was getting better and day by day, Elias and I were growing closer. Even during the chaos, we made sure to go out for our daily night strolls with our hands held together.
We had 5 days until the revolt when we finally found the weapon. You'd think that it would be something grand, but it was just an ordinary wooden stake. It made be wonder if we could really use it to kill our enemy. Mother had decided to keep the wooden stake with herself because she would be the least suspected one, and I agreed.
It was a 3 day ride and there was no time to waste. We all immediately set off and on our way, talked to a few people who we thought could give us some information.
City of Ephesus would be a big target. It was direct attack to the deity of werewolves and they wouldn't take it lightly. A few of them already were looking for reasons to remove humans from this world as a whole, and this would give them a reason to. This could possibly trigger a war, a war which all of us wanted to avoid.
As soon as we reached the city, we all went in different directions in order to learn about anything that could give us a hint. The direction in which I left leaded me to which looked like more of the uninhabited part of the city. There were still a few houses and shops but the streets were quite empty. Every few seconds I felt like someone was watching me from the windows so I was on full alert.
There weren't many people I could talk to and the ones I did talk to didn't think to know much about the topic. As I was walking, a bar came into the view. It seemed to be the only lively place in this secluded part of the city so I decided to go in. The bell of the bar jingled when I entered causing people to draw their attention towards me. The crowd were mostly men apart from the waitresses and a few ladies here and there.
I headed to the counter and took a seat beside two men who seemed very indulge in their conversation. I ordered a Root Beer and tried to listen in their conversation. I could make out a few words such as "werewolves", "humans", "winning" and on hearing them I concluded that this was the right place. Taking a sip of the drink I decided to initiate a conversation.
"Hello gentlemen." I spoke, drawing their attention."I'm quite new here and i'm sorry I couldn't help but listen what you guys were talking about. I actually come from the city of Kronos. I had to move ever since the revolt took place. It doesn't feel as safe there as it does here."
"I wouldn't be saying that, Missy." One of them replied. "Your choice of city might not be very reliable. I believe Kronos is much more safer than Ephesus right now."
"W-why do you say that?" My words haltered due to a sudden wave of dizziness.
"Many people have been going missing. You wouldn't notice that in the other parts of the town, but since the population is scanty here, you can tell. We don't know if it's by choice or if it's the dog people but we sure sleep with a gun beside us at night." Spoke the other man softly. "We think that someone out there is planning something and whatever it is is against the two species, being humans we don't have much chance but we won't be afraid to give it our best."
I didn't know if I should've been proud of them for sticking up for themselves or be sad for the fact that people could be persuaded against each other so easily. My dilemma was broken was the sound of the doorbell jingling once again, causing me to look towards the doorway. The anger inside me immediately boiled.
"Well Amara, do you want to come out willingly and have a chat or do you want me ask my minions to kill every single one of these pathetic people in front of you and then drag you out of here? In my opinion, I would choose the first one. But the second one seems tempting as well." Theo stood at the entrance with a few of his "minions" behind him. On sniffing, I could tell that there were a lot more of them outside. Looking around me I could see fear in the eyes of the people.
Finishing my drink, I stood up and said goodbye to the men beside me. My vision was blurring but I managed to walk outside the bar. As I had suspected there were around 10 more men outside. I tried to contact the others through the mind link but for some reason I was unable to. On hearing his footsteps, I turned to face him. Out of the corner of my eyes I could see the blury image of people in the bar poking their faces out of the window to see what was happening.
"It's time for you to accompany me Amara. The boss wants to see you." Theo spoke. "I would play with you but there isn't much time to waste. I do hope that you enjoyed the drink."
As soon as I heard the words, I comprehended what was going on. I moved forward to attack him but my steps haltered and I soon succumbed into the darkness.

I could feel the dirt on the floor that I was lying on, the sticking smell of where ever I was didn't fail to reach my nose. I tried to regain my vision. My eyes blinked a few times and I was finally able to see the dungeon that I lay in. Surrounded walls covered fully in moss and a cell door. I tried to sit up but felt immense pain in my whole body especially my legs. I turned my head down slightly to take a look. I was covered in blood, my blood. There were marks of a whips here and there and cuts by knives of several sizes. These cowards had hurt me when I was out. A cough drew my attention towards the cell door. There stood Theo waving with something in his hand, causing my eyes to widen.
It was the weapon.
