Waking up was literally the hardest thing this morning, an early start to a new term at Elm High. This is one of the things I hated about school, the constant early mornings. I have a huge list of reasons why I hate school, and that is just about number one. Even the teaches have heard me complain about the mornings several times, everyday.

I'm Carly Furner, and I'm a year 11 student at that prison, only one year left, and I'm gone. I study English, Math, Science, RE, Business, Music, Spanish and History. That maybe a weird collection of choices, but it's what I love to do, and what I need to do to get a job around here. My all time favourite is music, considering my lack of self-esteem, and the constant anxiety of school. I can kind of sing, but having no music teachers for three years, I have learned everything from YouTube! Thank lord for the internet. The only place I have really performed was in my living room, which only consisted of around 5 people, and I was only 12 at the time.

I hit the snooze button didn't I? I was going to be late on my first day, so I eagerly ran towards the bathroom and began the morning routine. Cleanse my face, brush my teeth, start applying the usual make up I always wear, and style my hair. I didn't really need to do anything with my hair, as it's extremely long and it was naturally wavy, which I loved!

Every morning I walk to school and back, as it is only just up the road. I prefer to walk alone, unless Calum is around. He's one of my best friends, and he lives just around the corner. When I first started High School, I use to walk with Luke... Well, that's a different story.

My parents are what you call 'meant to be' as they fount each other in Italy. Italy is where my mum originally comes from, and every year since I was a baby I would visit my other half of the family in Italy. Anyway, my parent's met in Fair Verona (if you didn't know, it is set in Shakespeare's: Romeo and Juliet was set). My dad went there with his school for a trip, and my mum was there with her family as her family owned a business that travelled around most of Italy, my dad bumped into her chair, which made her spill her drink all down herself, but from the first time they met, they would keep bumping into each other in the future. My dad's family went to Italy a few years after, and he must of been 16, this is where they became 'love hearts' as the call each other. Apparently my dad asked her out on some kind of date, as his family was staying near her house, and then they had their first kiss. Every year my dad went to Italy, and passed the same girl near the same spot, at the same time, since that very first time. I think this was true love...

When I have finished all education, I'm going to travel, and hope the same happens to me, being 15 and single, isn't what I'm having in mind, when I tell my children one day. Anyway for now, I have my two best friends to keep my company; Gabriella (Gabs for short) and Poppy. They're both very different. Gabs is the 'I'm perfect at everything' girl, but Poppy is more of a 'I hate everyone, I don't care' person. Which I love about both of them. Then you have me, which is a mix of the two opposites, I try my best to be nice to everyone, even the group of 'Popular's' which think they're perfectly fabulous, when they are far from it, and basically stuck up their own arse. Carrying on, Poppy is tall, just taller than me, and has long blonde wavy hair, that reaches just bellow her breasts, she has a warming smile, and is especially good at all subjects. As for Gabs; she is around the same height as me, with the longest hair in existence, with blonde ombre. To match her personality, her eyes are a bright, icy blue which I love. Many people love her because of her personality; bubbly and easy to get along with.

Before I forget about myself! I'm short, being born three months early does take some effect, I also have generously thick wavy long brunette hair, that cascades past my breasts, my eyes also the same, a dark, mysterious colour, not many people see my eyes, as I squint when I smile, my eyes always look very narrow. I also have quite plump lips, that are a natural cherry colour.

Once I'm ready for school, I take myself down stairs to grab some toast, as I haven't eaten yet. Just as I reached the bottom step, my mum came and gave me a hug and waved good bye, she works in a bakery down the road and has to leave early to start up the business. All I had to do now was pack my bag and adjust what I'm wearing; the dreaded school uniform.

The uniform is added to the list of what 'I hate about school'. It's an egg yolk yellow and lime green, two of the most ugliest colours put together at one time. The skirts are a yellow and green checked, knee length pleated skirt, which goes with the lemon shirts and striped ties. Don't forget about the hideous moss coloured blazers. Best outfit ever.

Right, I think I'm ready for the day now. I had packed my daisy printed rucksack with all the necessary items; stationary, food, a bottle of water, food and my folders full of the course work I'm still desperately trying to complete for my last year of school.

This year is going to be a long one...
