Running into you

Chapter 15: Spending the Night

I grab my phone, and call Austin. He answers after one ring.

"Hello?" He says.

"A-a-Austin." I say while sobbing.

"(Y/N) what's wrong? Are you okay?" He asks with a worried tone in his voice.

"Can y-you come over please. I-I-I'll explain when you g-get h-h-here." I say.

"Okay. I'll be over in 5." He says. Then the phone line went dead. I put my head into my pillow and screamed. Why would my father do this? It's a dick move. But it still hurts that he would cheat on my mom, and think it was okay.

I hear a light knock on my window. I look up and see Austin. I smile a sad smile, then open the window. He comes in and instantly wraps his arms around my waist and hugs me. I put my head into the crook of his neck. I just cry. He kisses my shoulder every once in a while.

"Babe what's wrong?" He asks.

"My da-a-d cheated o-o-on my m-mo-o-m." I say.

"I'm so sorry baby." He says.

"Why would he do this.. It hurts so much." I say.

"I don't know. It's getting late. Why don't you climb into bed and try and sleep." He says.

"Okay.. Austin?" I say.

"What?" He asks looking me in the eyes.

"Can you stay the night? I really need you." I ask.

"Yeah." He says. I climb into the bed, and under the covers. Austin gets in and lays next to me. He wraps his arms around me, and pulls me in close.

Just having his arms around me makes me happy, and feel safe. I look behind me and see him looking at me. I kiss him, and he smiles.

"Goodnight Austin." I say smiling.

"Goodnight (Y/N)." He says while wiping one of the tears running down my face.

I roll over and start thinking about tomorrow. What is gonna happen to my mom? She loved my dad so much. We will see what tomorrow brings.
