Running into you

Chapter 61: Thank You

I wake up the next day, and look out the window. We are still on the road. Hm. I thought we'd be there by now. Then I look at the the time and see it's on 6:30. Damn. I stand up, and walk to the front of the bus. I see that Michele is awake. But that's it.

"Hi Michele." I say sitting down next to her.

"Hi honey." She says.

"How are you?" I ask.

"Good. How about you?" She asks.

"I'm fine." I say.

"That's good." She says.

"Yah. I guess." I say. She laughs.

"I want to thank you." She says.

"For what?" I ask.

"For making my son so happy. I haven't seen him this happy in years." She says.

"You're welcome. I mean I've been watching him since he was 15. Seeing how far he's come makes me happy. Honestly I didn't think I'd actually be dating my idol." I say. Michele grabs my hand.

"Some dreams come true." She says. I smile.

"I know." I say.

"I'm glad he found you." She says. I smile and hug her.

"Me too." I say.

Michele is the sweetest human being on earth. She is way better than my mom would ever be.

"Honestly your like a mother to me." I say.

"And your like a daughter to me." She says kissing my head.

"Well my mom is a total butt, so I feel like I never really had a mom... Then my dad left, so I'm happy you welcomed me into your home." I say.

"Well anyone Austin loves I love." Michele says. She wraps her arm around me and hugs me.

"So when do you think we will be at the venue?" I ask after we stop hugging.

"Uhm. Probably another hour or so." She says.

"Okay." I say.

"Why don't you go back to sleep. I'll wake you when we get there." Michele says.

"Okay. Bye mama." I say. I hug her.

"Bye sweetie." She says. I walk back to Austin and my room, and climb back into bed. Austin's back is facing me.

So I wrap my arms around his torso, and kiss his shoulder. Then I fall back to sleep.
