-End of school day-

I walk out of the front doors of the school with Paola at the end of the day and we walk to my car.

"So did you understand anything that happened in Trig today? Because I was confused." Paola asks.

"No I definitely didn't." I tell her as I open the door and throw my backpack in the passenger side.

"Do you have practice today?" She asks me.

"Unfortunately yes." I say. I show her my gym mag sitting on the floor on the passenger side.

"Man that sucks, I wanted to hang out with you." She says disappointingly.

"Maybe soon, I am really busy with life." I say and let out little chuckle. I look at my watch and see I have to be at the gym in 15 minutes.

"I know, you have to go. See you tomorrow?" She says.

"See you tomorrow." I say. I get into my car and start driving to the gym. Everything has been going really well. Coach Meeks wants me to start training more every day, she says I have potential to go to the Olympics. But I told her I still want to go to school so we have to fit training around that schedule. So every day I am going to school, straight to the gym until 7 and then I'm home doing homework. Austin and I try to get as much as I can, but it's not much.

I am taking off practice in 2 days though because it's my birthday and I want to spend it with Austin and Michele.

I pull into the gym parking lot and park the car then I walk inside. We have a meet this Sunday (today is Wednesday) so everyone is working hard. I walk over to Melissa and Katy who are both at the lockers unloading their things and taking their sweatpants off.

"How are you guys today?" I ask them.

"Good." Melissa says.

"Excellent." Katy says at the same time.

"Ready to work hard today?" I ask as I take my sweatpants off.

"Not really I am probably going to slack off today a little bit. I am exhausted." Katy says.

"I am trying to do good this Sunday so I am definitely working hard." Melissa says.

"Girls! Attention everyone." Coach Meeks says. We all walk over to her. "So this Sunday is our big meet. Based on your all's performance I will be picking 5 of you to go to the olympic trials in June, understand?" She says, everyone starts whispering among themselves. "Understood?" She says.

"Understood coach." Everyone says in unison.

"Alright dismissed. Go to what you feel you need to work on today." Coach says. I walk over to beam. Out of all 4 events. I need the most work on. I keep messing up the hardest skill we are implementing into my routine. It is called the Rulfova, it is super hard but I am really close to getting it.

I hop up on the beam and start practicing it, fall after fall I am just not getting it.

"(Y/N)." Coach calls me. I hop down off the beam and walk over to her.

"Yes coach?" I ask her.

"What is the problem, why aren't you landing the Rufolva?" She asks me.

"I don't know I just keep missing the placement of my hands." I tell her.

"When you are up there don't think of anything else except placing your hands on that balance beam, take a deep breath before you jump and watch your hands the entire time." She says to me. I nod my head and then run back to the balance beam. I take a deep breath, focus on the hands, place them on the beam. I jump into the air and watch my hands the entire time and I finally land my hands on the beam! And I land the trick!

All of the gymnasts who were watching me all started clapping and cheering for me. I make eye contact with Coach Meeks and she puts her thumbs up. Now time to implement it into my routine.

-After Practice-

I am packing up my stuff when I hear someone come up behind me. I turn and see Coach Meeks standing there.

"I just wanted to tell you I am super proud of how far you have come since you started here. If you do that Rufolva like you did today on Sunday. I think you might be going to the Olympic trials with the team." She says to me. My jaw drops.

"Thank you so much Coach. It means a lot." I tell her. She hugs me.

"See you tomorrow (Y/N)" She says.

"Goodnight Coach." I tell her. I close my locker and make my way out to my car. I can't believe she said that, about how she believes I will go to trials with her. I start the car and drive home. The gym is only about 5 minutes from the house. I speed home because I just want to see Austin.

I pull into the driveway and put the car in park. I grab all of my things, get our of the car and lock it. I walk inside and up to Austin's room.

"Austin?" I ask as I walk into his room and don't see him. I put both my bags on the bed and walk to the bathroom door. I knock on the door.

"I'll be out in a sec." I hear Austin say from the shower. I go and sit down on the bed and wait for him.

I hear the water turn off, and shortly after Austin walks out in just a towel. I bite my bottom lip and he walks over and gives me a big kiss.

"How was your day love?" He asks me as he walks over to his dresser and pulls out underwear, shorts and a t-shirt.

"Amazing! I finally landed the Rufolva and guess what!" I basically shout as I jump up and down.

"You landed it!! Yes babe, I know it has been hard, and what?" He says as he puts on his underwear and shorts.

"Coach said this Sundays meet is going to determine who gets to go to the Olympic Trials, and if I land the Rufolva I could go to trials!" I say. Austin drops his shirt and runs to me.

"Oh my god (Y/N)! That is amazing, I am so happy for you! This is what you have been working towards." He says.

"I am so excited, but I want to work my ass off in the gym this week." I tell him, he sits next to me on the bed.

"Do you want to cancel birthday plans on Friday and go to the gym that day?" He asks.

"No, I want to spend the day with you." I say. He leans in for a kiss, and I return it. Things get heated really fast, and you can guess where things went from there. ;)
