Karin's eyes fluttered open as she felt someone shaking her. She weakly lifted her head rubbed her eyes in an attempt to get her vision cleared. Whoever was shaking her had stopped and Karin looked at the other girl.

"She looks really familiar," Karin thought to herself. The other girl was looking at her as well. Eventually, the girls both got uncomfortable with their staring contest and looked away from each other simultaneously.

"Um... are you ok now Karin?" Karin's eyes widened as the girl said her name.

"H-how do you know my name?" Karin managed to stutter out. The other girl facial expression suddenly changed from worry and concern to upset and disbelief.

"You don't remember me?" The girl asked. Her tone of voice showed she suddenly lost some of the hope she had gotten. Karin shook her head and furrowed her eyebrows.

"What about Mia? Reina? Can you remember them?" The girl's tone was suddenly rushed. Karin nodded her head. She didn't trust the girl completely at the start of their conversation but now she was trusting her even less.

"How do you know my friends? Who are you?" Karin finally worked up the courage to talk to the other girl.

"They're my friends too! I'm Ayami... you really can't remember me?" Ayami's statement started out strong but her voice faded towards the end of her question.

"No... Do I know you?" Karin asked Ayami. She tilted her head slightly as she asked. Ayami sighed deeply before answering Karin.

"Yea but I guess that doesn't really matter," Ayami said. It was obvious she had given up on trying to get Karin to remember her.

"If she's here with me that must mean she's remembered something," Ayami thought to herself. There was a moment of silence between the two before Karin spoke up.

"So... where are we?" Karin finally asked. Ayami opened her mouth, closed it, and then proceeded to talk.

"I don't really know but I'm sure if they question you like they questioned me, you'll figure something out." Karin only nodded at the taller girl before the door swung open. Karin and Ayami both jumped at the sudden sound. A large, muscular man walked in and smirked.

"Oh the new one's awake," He said without the smirk leaving his face.

"Come with me" Karin didn't move due to fear and his smirk turned into a frown.

"I said. Come. With. Me" He exaggerated all three words and grabbed Karin's arm, dragging her behind him. She was pulled out of the room and Ayami was left alone once again.
