I heard a scream coming from inside the mall. It sounded as if it were close to where we were.
Me and Kye run out of the current store we were in and towards where the scream came from. We don't go very far when I see something cloaked in darkness flying above us. It had a sword in it's hand and looked ready to kill.
Then out of no where I see someone jump into the air, sword in their hand, moving at a rapid pace. I could barely make out if it was male or female. I concluded that the figure was indeed male.
The mysterious unknown male looked to have wings. They looked to be a shimmering blue. Almost like water. He attacked the creature cloaked in darkness with a swift shot straight at the creatures heart. The creature screeched and vanished instantly. Then so did the man.
It's then I see on the ground a girl of around ten lying there motionless. She's on the first floor and I'm on the second floor, so without thinking; I jump.
Out of no where I feel something spring free from my back and instead of falling to my death I start to gracefully glide to the ground. Even still I only have one mission right now and that's to save this little girl.
As soon as my feet touch the ground I fall to my knees next to the young girl with strawberry blonde hair and pale skin.
"There's nothing you can do," I hear a voice say from behind me as I place my hands on the girls chest. "Only those of the royal faerie bloodline can heal someone that's even close to death. She's already dead, no way can you bring her back. It's not possible," Even as I heard the words and I knew they were true, still I knew I had to try. Sure enough, as I thought about the little girl and my task of saving her; it happened. A bright light came from my hands, that were still placed on the girls chest, and finally the young ones eyes started to flutter open and her wound started to close.
"No fucking way. It's not possible," I hear a whisper from behind me. I finally turn around and see a dude with blond hair and ghostly pale skin. His eyes are an emerald green.
"Who are you?" I ask, this dude is seriously getting on my nerves.
"Liam, Liam Castle, King of the Faeries."
"If you're King of the Faeries, then I assume you're my cousin?"
"That's not possible. My only cousins died a long time ago."
"My name is Genevieve and from what I've been told the world this realm thinks me to be dead. When in reality I've been in hiding, under the protection of the one who is my mate, the only one who is said to have escaped the siege on the castle many years ago," I stated, not sure if I just made a big mistake or not.
"Prove it."
"Liam, what my mate says is truth you saw her wings. They're the wings of a true royal faerie. You might be royal and it shows in your wings, but you're not a true royal. For the royal title wasn't originally passed down to your father."
"Where's the other one then?"
"How do you know of Taylor? Everyone's minds where wiped of the knowledge of her existence."
"Kye, my mind has always been stronger than the average faerie. Royalty blood still flows through my veins, which made it quite impossible to erase my mind." Liam stated plainly. "Look, I know of the prophecy of the two of them and I know there's more than what the Oracle's have said so far. Five are to accompany the two into battle when the end comes. I'm one of them. Kye you're another. The last three have yet to be determined. They will be hybrids though. I'm a witch-faerie hybrid, you're a faerie-wolf hybrid. The others are still a mystery though. Only one oracle knows of the five so far and it's the faerie-caster hybrid. One of a kind right there. It's because of her that I know there are five that are still hidden from the main prophecy. I was simply told five would accompany the strongest two into battle and it'd only be the strongest of all hybrids who would do so."
With that Liam just vanished. And I felt two arms wrap around me. It's the little girl with emerald green eyes.
Then she just vanishes, much like Liam just did.
