Chapter 15 (Kye)

Two months, that's how long we have. We have two months till the ritual will have to be performed. Two months till we have to be united as one. The easiest way would be to have sex, but I'm not doing that to her, not yet, not until she is ready. Marriage is impossible until she's sixteen. The faerie mating ritual is too dangerous. This is stressing me out. 

I need to mate with my mate soon or else she'll die in the royalty ritual. That's something I didn't tell her, didn't want to tell her. If I don't mate with her soon, then she'll die. It's her curse. Which is another thing I didn't tell her, she also suffers from the curse. The curse on the royal family is different for every individual. It's not just on Roden, but all of them. Roden will die on the thrown. Liam can never be accepted as King. Tatiana's mind is said to be different, she knows things no ten year old or anyone should ever know so she has never had a true childhood. Raven is battling a darkness inside of her. The former King and Queen died from the attack which in turn is what started the curse to plague their entire family. Jay doesn't suffer from the curse for his mother was not royal when she had him.

Genevieve will die if she doesn't mate by the time she is meant to go through the crowning ritual. Taylor on the other hand, I don't know. From the words of the prophecy, I'm thinking it's that she's mated to a dark being. Someone who only knows destruction. So I don't know if she'll even be able to become Queen, Faeries are naturally light creatures, we don't accept darkness in our bloodlines, so I doubt that she could become Queen with a dark mate. I think that's her curse. So Genevieve is the only one who can take the thrown safely as long as me and her mate. 

The only way to stop the curse is if the next true rulers take over the thrown in a blood ritual that's even more dangerous than the normal crowning ritual, but for this one, the Queen and to be King can't yet be mated, which would be good for Genevieve. Though it's only ever been done once, that was with the first Queen and King. It ties the bloodlines of all the Faeries to the King and Queen. Meaning if they die, all linked to them will die too as long as they are still on the thrown. Due to this first ritual if we go too long without a ruler we all die. One week. All we have is one week after the King and Queen die. If we don't have a new ruler by then; then we all die. If we do the blood ritual we run into the problem that not only are the faeries fate going to be linked to our lineage, but also the fate of the witches and werewolves  are going to be linked to our bloodline due to us being hybrid's. It is sadly the only real choice we have. Though we must get permission from the tribal leaders of the wolf tribes, and the coven leaders of the witch covens first or else it won't be accepted. Five tribes and seven coven's must agree. Meaning we're going to have our work cut out for us. We might as well start now. Luckily the new leaders are set to rise soon, the crowning of the new leaders takes place in a week, at least for all except the  Coven of Time, who still needs to have a battle between the twin rulers to find out who their true ruler will be, since for some odd reason they have twins this time around with their coven's rare gift. Most of the rulers to be are here, at this school. So that makes it easier. Meaning Genevieve and Taylor should have the ability to be able to talk to the leaders, which will make things better, we need them to agree.

"Genevieve, classes are cancelled for today, so go back to sleep."

"Kye, I'm not tired. Plus we should start practicing."

"Yes, we should, but I think I need to tell you some stuff."

"What is it?"

"Well, there is another way for you to become Queen without the mating bond being put in place."

"Explain."

"There's a True Leader ritual, extremely dangerous, but no need for the mating bond. It will tie all faeries to us, if we choose to go through with it. Though due to us being hybrids, it'll also tie that fate of witches and wolves to the two of us. Taylor won't be accepted as a ruler, her true mate is too dark for her to become a ruler, I gathered that much due to the prophecy. I don't know who her mate is, but I do believe she has a creature of darkness as a mate. So it's up to us to save our people."

"Alright, then we'll save them, together, we'll go through the True Leader ritual and save our people, together."

"Another thing, the four are coming, I sense the power coming closer."

"What four?"

"I'm one of the five, but the other four are coming, we are yours and your sisters true protectors. We are destined to protect the hybrid royals. Your cousins Liam, Tatiana, and Raven are among the four, the other one is your half brother Jay,  Alpha of the Lunar Floras pack, he's an Alpha of all Alphas, just like you and your sister. It runs in your family," I told my mate. 

"Okay, want to go practice now? Since I think I need it, I'd rather not rely on other people for protection, especially during this ritual thing."

"Alright, let's go Genevieve."
