Koba and the males of the ape colony had returned from their hunt,and some of the females and children ran over, greeting the warriors. Milo excitedly ran up to his father, as koba knelt down, picking up the young orangutan. Haze walked over to the two, smiling down at his little brother, who reached out to attempt to hug him.

‘ how did the hunt go?’ milo sloppily signs making his father and brother smile.

‘ it went well,’ haze signs to his brother and koba nods in agreement.

Aria appears out of koba and beth’s hut, and she looks around until seeing koba, and she begins gibbering to get his attention. Koba looks up as he heard the young female, and he saw the panic in her eyes, ‘ it is beth! She is in labor!”

Immediately he hands milo to haze, as he jumps up to grab a loose branch, reaching his and his mates hut. Aria leads him into the hut, pushing a few obas away, as he could hear his groaning mate.

The agonizing, stinging, unbearable pain was all i could feel.

Now i know how my mom felt, having to give birth to me, at least she didn’t have to deal with another kid. The frantic gibbering slowly becomes quiet, and i slowly look up, meeting a single green eye.

Like a small boat

On the ocean

“ koba?” i groaned out reaching my hand out to him.

He nods in confirmation that it was him, as his larger hand grabs my own, kneeling down beside the nest. I groaned feeling another contraction hit me, and felt koba place his other hand on my cheek, encouraging me.

Losing friends and I'm chasing sleep

Everybody's worried about me

Cornelia and caesar stood behind koba, and i saw cornelia giving me an encouraging smile, as caesar watched with concern. I grunt at another contraction, briefly shutting my eyes, as i start the first push. Koba’s hand still held mine, as i slumped my head onto the moss, groaning in pain.

“ you’re only getting one little chimp out of me and that’s all,” i seeth threateningly.

Koba nods with a sad smile, leaning forward as he kissed my head, as i am still huffing for air.

Another wave washes over me, my muscles jolting into motion, and i push again.

Koba’s hand caresses my cheek, keeping me calm and helps me ignore the pain.

A lot of fight left in me

I nod and saw aria kneeling beside koba, as she gave me a small smile, and i smiled back at her.

‘ once the next wave hits, you must give a long hard push,’ she instructs and i nod to her in thanks.

The last contractional wave hits me like a hurricane, and i am sent into a wailing fit, as i gave one final push. The sound of a baby’s cry fills the hut, and i see aria holding a little baby ape, as she was flailing her arms. Tinker helps me sit up, and aria hands me the baby, who nestles against my collarbone.

“ what is. Her name?” asks caesar and i smiled at him.

“ maryrose roxanne” i hum.

I hear the sudden gibbers, and frantic running, as haze runs inside the hut. He had milo in his arms, who then got out of his arms, running over to me and koba.

Koba picks milo up, and motions for haze to come see us, and he slowly walks over.

“ say hello to your little sister,” i whisper as i look at the baby in my arms.

Now my life is complete.
