A New Journey Begins!!!

2: Staying at Kukui's

When Ash got back he froze.  Moon wasn't there anymore!!!  But there was an open door that was closed before he left. 'She had to have gone this way,' Ash thought.  He ran up the steps.  They went up to a small door that led up to the roof.  It was also open.  Ash quickly made his way up.  As soon as he got there, Moon froze.

"Oh come ON!!!" Moon shouted.  Her plan was foiled!!!  Ash was confused.

"What are you doing up here?" Ash asked her.  He didn't understand.

"Well... I was exploring my surroundings a little..." Moon replied, "...and I saw the roof needed repairing.  So..." she looked at all her tools, "I was going to surprise you and this Professor guy."  Finally Ash understood.  She was going to repair the roof.  Shingles and everything!!!  Ash felt really bad for interrupting her work.  Moon blushed in embarrassment.

"Well," Ash apologized, "I'm sorry for interrupting you.  You can continue... o-only if you really want, of course.  I won't tell the Professor."  Then Ash left Moon to continue what she was doing.  As soon as he was down the stairs, he made a mad dash to his room, blushing wildly.  'I'M SO STUPID!!!'  Ash's mind screamed, I SHOULD HAVE INTRODUCED HER TO THE PROFESSOR FIRST THING!!'

Ash didn't know, but he passed by Professor Kukui.  Kukui was confused as he watched Ash run.

"Hey Ash," he called, "where's the fire?  Did something happen with her?"  Kukui chuckled as he followed Ash.

Ash finally got to his room.  He threw himself onto his bed.  Kukui happened to come up just as Ash was burying his face into a pillow.

"I'm so stupid," Ash muttered.  Kukui shook his head.  'Oh, Ash.' he thought.  Ash still didn't notice the professor even as Kukui left.  After a few hours, Ash finally decided to come out of his room.  He couldn't find the professor or Moon anywhere.  Then he realized he hadn't checked the roof yet.  He went up to the roof and what did he see?  Kukui and Moon were talking.  Moon must had finished what she was doing and showed him the fixed roof!!!  Ash almost laughed out loud.  He was panicking downstairs when he couldn't find them... but the whole time they were having sandwiches up on the roof!!!

"What's so funny?" asked Moon as she noticed Ash's face.  'Oh, Ash.'  Kukui thought again.

"I'M SO STUPID!!!" Ash laughed.  Ash's laughing was interrupted as Moon handed him a sandwich.

"Hungry?" she asked.  Ash nodded. "I hope you like it... I made them."  Ash wolfed down the sandwich very quickly.  He smiled really big.

"It's delicious!!!" he exclaimed.  Moon smiled and Kukui chuckled for the second time that day.

After lunch, Ash took Moon to the Pokemon School.  He showed her every inch of the grounds.  All of the walking and greeting Ash's friends tired Moon out.  When the two got home, Moon crashed on her bed for a while.  Kukui decided to chat with Ash a little during this time.

"So Ash," Kukui began, "Moon seems to be the helpful type.  You can barely tell that the roof was ever broken!!!"  Ash nodded.  Moon was outstanding when it came to helping.  Ash told him about his encounter with Moon a few minutes before he stayed in his room for three hours.  Kukui burst into laughter.  "So that's what it was all about?" Kukui exclaimed.  Everything was quiet for a few minutes.  Finally, Ash spoke.

"Let's see if Moon is still asleep," Ash said, standing up.  Kukui agreed.  They headed into Moon's room.  There they saw her silently sleeping in her bed.  They quickly left the room as to not disturb their sleeping guest.
