Ash's P.O.V.
"So, Moon," I asked, "what was going on down there?" Moon hesitated. Maybe she didn't want to tell me?
"...team eclipse..." she whispered. My jaw dropped. Moon had an encounter with Team Eclipse, the bad guys who robbed the Pokemon Center?!?! I quickly snapped out of it.
"What happened?" I wondered. I looked at her. Moon turned away. I stopped talking.
Moon's P.O.V.
Why was Ash asking so many questions? Can't he tell I don't wanna talk about it. I'm not mad at him or anything, but I feel ashamed of myself. Team Eclipse knows what I look like, and now there's no doubt. They'll probably be hunting me down. Somehow I'll need to protect everyone. I'll find a way sooner or later...
Third Person P.O.V.
Ash and Moon were sitting on a bench having lunch. Mallow was watching them from a distance, making her own theories about the two. 'What if she asks him out on a date?!?! ' Mallow panicked. She could obviously tell that there was something going on with those two, and she didn't like to admit it, but she really liked Ash. And at first she thought that the only ones in her way were Lana and Lillie. But now Moon was bunking with Ash at Kukui's. This was a big problem for her.
Something grabbed the attention of everyone at the Pokemon School. At the entrance of the school, there was an Ultra Wormhole!!! Moon and Ash both stood up, preparing to battle whatever came out. But they didn't need to battle it. It was just a teenager. He had blond hair, green eyes, a black hoodie, black pants, and everything about him was edgy. This caught them both off-guard. He noticed Moon. He began walking towards her.
"Hey..." Moon began, but she trailed off. Something wasn't right. The boy had reached her now. He slammed her against the wall of the schoolhouse and pinned her there. He was furious.
"YOU LEFT ME THERE TO DIE!!!" he yelled, his grip on Moon's shoulders getting tighter.
"I DID NOT!!!" Moon shouted back, "THE GROUND GAVE AWAY AND I FELL!!! IT IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THING!!!" Then she addressed him. "Gladion," she said, giving him a stern look, "I did not leave you there to perish. Why would I do that?" The boy, who's name was Gladion, tried his best to think of a reason, but he couldn't. Moon continued to look into his eyes. He finally gave up. His grip on Moon subsided. She sat down and began to regain her strength.
Ash could feel the tension between the two. He could easily tell that Gladion was a grudge holder. He noticed that Moon had just extinguished Gladion's anger. 'Whoa.' Ash thought, amazed.
He noticed that they were still staring into the other's eyes. Gladion finally gave in. He looked away. Gladion knew that Moon was right. Moon grabbed Gladion's hand. He looked at her.
"You are my best friend, Gladion," she said, "I would never do something like that to you." Gladion and Ash both noticed Moon's face was red.
"Are you blushing?!?!" Gladion asked her. Moon glared at him.
"I'm not blushing!!" she argued, her hands making fists, "I'm burning like an Incineroar hit me with Inferno Overdrive out here!!! Can we at least go inside where there's air conditioning?!?!" Gladion shrugged, but didn't say anything. Then everyone realized that they were extremely hot as well. They all decided to go inside and cool off.
Moon and Gladion continued their staring contest for what felt like hours to Ash. He never took his eyes off the mental battle.
Finally it ended... when everyone left. Moon and Gladion decided that there should be no more of that, Ash guessed. The three of them left the school building. They about to part ways when there was an explosion.
"Not again!!!" Moon exclaimed. It was Team Eclipse.
"Yes again, little lady," said the first.
"You seriously thought you could beat us just like that?" said the next.
"Which one's your boyfriend?" asked the third. The other two stared at him, and then they all looked at her with curiosity. She was with two boys...
"I DON'T HAVE A BOYFRIEND!!!" Moon yelled at them. The Team Eclipse members shrugged. They were just wondering. Moon, Gladion, and Ash teamed up to battle them... and they won.
"We still have your photo," said the first.
"We'll be able to show it to our boss," said the second one.
"Unless you grab it from us before we leave," the third accidentally spoiled, waving it in the air. His comrades glared at him. Moon took her chance and snatched it. She then ripped the photograph in half. The first two members stared at her, their mouths open and eyes wide. "We still have our backup photo," the third exclaimed to his comrades. They remembered the backup shot they took and smirked. Team Eclipse left... with another thing to tell their boss about her. Moon smacked her head.
When Ash and Moon get back to Kukui's...
'How could I have been so STUPID?!?!' Moon asked herself, flinging herself down onto her bed. Ash came in. He froze once he saw her.
"Was I interrupting something?" Ash asked, puzzled. Moon quickly sat up and shook her head. Ash came in and sat on her bed with her. "Were those guys the same ones that you encountered earlier today?" Ash wondered. Moon nodded her head.
"Oh, Ash," she said, "How am I going to protect everyone?" Moon sobbed. Ash put his arm on her shoulder.
"You don't need to," he replied, "Because we will protect everyone." Moon looked at him. Her eyes watered even more.
"Oh Ash..." she said gratefully. Ash smiled.
