Chapter 9: Shapeless Showdown.

"Just by looking at the title, we're gonna have a fight at some point." Amber said coolly as she leans over.

Minato only ignores her as he went inside and sees Dennis messing with the computers.

"This is a lot harder than I thought." The kid muttered to himself

"Do you got anything?"

The kid only shakes his head and stood up.

"The only thing I get is that this killer takes the eyes of his or her victims, and the only thing I can't get is why?"

(Minato POV)

I can only shake my head at that, just why? Just why am I involved in a murder that has nothing to do with me.

It's either that fate is just trying to make me it's own personal plaything.

Either way, if there is one thing I hate is fighting Pennywise. I've always hated that thing, and now here I am, fighting something is close to him or something far more worse.

"Do you have any ideas?" I asked him.
But as expected, he only shakes his head and can't think of anything.

"The only thing we can do is try and know what it is. Which means one of us is going to be bait."

I just only looked at him like he said a stupid idea, which is petty much a very stupid idea.

And it's a good thing he agrees with me.

"It's not worth the risk though."

I can only groan at that and decided to go to the park again to cool down before heading back to the Basilicom.

And just thinking about Histoire being gone just puts a strain on my head.

This day just keeps getting worse...

"Milord, be careful! Bad things are ahead of us!"

Minato stood there confused on what the Knight meant, but knowing the urgency in the Person's tone meant it is serious.

After all. He narrowly dodged a scythe aimed for him, but he suffered a cut on his side when that happened.

Whatever was hunting him growled lowly as it stepped out of the shadows with it's teeth barred and glistening as well.

The Beast was entirely black, it's teeth barred, the legs pointed down to a sharp tapered point and sickles on it's long arms that reach the ground.

The Fool quickly took the Evoker and points the gun at his head, but the beast swatted it away from his hand and uppercuts him by the stomach.

Minato went to the ground and coughed up blood and his guts threatened to come out from the cut, but he knows that he won't go down without a fight.

The stone on his necklace glowed brightly and Roland is summoned with Durandal at his side.

I am Roland, one of the knights of Charlemagne.

With my sword, Durandal, at my side. I shall smite you in the name of honor!

The creature became repulsed by the Knight's speech and attacked him by swinging it's bladed hand down onto the Knight's head.

Roland mightily blocked the attack with his sword and swings it aside, charging onto the long limbed fiend.

The two beings clashed! Where the monster swings it's appendages at the Knight, and the Knight fights valiantly as sparks flew out from there duel.
