"Jack... hey..."
"Alice..."
We stand there in silence for a moment. Laura is next to me, her eyes darting from Jack to me waiting for one of us to say something.
"Guys?"
I giggle to Break the tension, Jack puts his hand behind his neck and smiles. He turns to Laura, extending his hand.
"Hi, I'm jack"
"Laura," she responds taking his hand, I'm still to nervous to talk. My face is turning red, I know it. I can't look him in the eye after last night.
"Alice..." Oh god he's talking to me
"I was just looking for your mom... any idea where she is?"
I try to respond but my words get stuck in my throat. Laura covers me "well Jack, Miss chels- I mean, Miss Carlisle is down stairs in your gym I think,"
"Oh, okay, thanks -he pauses-"
"Laura, Laura is my name."
"Laura, sorry my mind is just... occupied." He looks at me, I look away.
"Uh huh, I'm sure it is," laura responds as she looks from him to me.
Jack smirks, "well, I should go get her then, have a great afternoon girls," he walks off. Laura turns to me with a, we have to talk look. I'm dying inside.
