You are the daughter of any good character you choose

It's coronation day! I was pretty excited because Ben is my best friend, and I got to watch him becoming king close-up! I was with Ben getting ready for his big entrance with Mal. I always believed that they were good even if I know what's going to happen at Bens coronation. I know they'll choose good over evil in the end.

The choir sung as the music played, Ben walked down the aisle with everyone bowing to him, I thought I would follow. I smirked at him before I mock-bowed to Ben, and he could probably tell my bow was sarcastic, but whatever.

I basically spaced out when FGM was talking to Ben about some solemn swears or something. Then something snapped me out of it, it was Jane grabbing the wand that FGM was using to bless Ben. I had a moment of shock before adrenaline shocked me out of it when the wand pointed upwards and caused a big bang and I lurched forward to grab the wand, but I fell onto the ground face-first.

I looked over to Jane who was struggling with Mal until the wand finally slipped out of Jane's grasp and into Mal's. I ran back because I knew what was going to happen. As expected, Ben got in front of Mal and started, "Mal, give me the wand." I looked up to the balcony to see Evie, Jay, and Carlos who I had a little crush on, but eventually gave up because no one would support us.

"BEN, STAND BACK!" Mal shouted as she pointed the wand in Ben's direction. Nope, not going to let that happen, I jumped in front of Ben preparing for anything coming my way.

"I told you so!" I heard Audrey say as she tried to step forward, but quickly retreated as Mal quickly pointed the wand at her. Mal swiftly returned her attention towards Ben and I.

"Let's go," I heard the familiar voice that belonged to Carlos, my heart shattered as I knew that it was too good to be true. The VK's weren't here to stay, my face dropped, but I acted as if I didn't get my heart broken that instant.

"Revenge time," Jay followed up what Carlos had previously said.

"You really want to do this?" I cried desperately with a crack in my voice. I was going to try and get the VK's to stay, even if I failed I would've lived with guilt if I hadn't at least tried to turn them.

"We have no choice, our parents-" Mal tried to say but quickly got cut off by Ben.

"Your parents made their choice, now you make yours." I looked over at him to see the same look that I probably had in my eyes, desperation, and heartbreak. I knew he loved Mal from the moment he saw her. It was pretty obvious too.

Then, Mal said it, the one thing I didn't think I would hear from them. "I think I want to be good." My face lit up with joy, but Ben was still on edge for a reason I have no idea,

"You are good." Way to extend this Ben, she already said she thinks- oh now I get it.

"You are good-" I backed Ben up, but got interrupted by Mal again.

"How do you know that?!" I looked at Ben who said exactly what I was thinking,

"Because we're listening to our hearts." I nodded to what he said.

"I want to listen to my heart too," Mal stated after a moment's hesitation. "And my heart is telling me that we are not our parents." Mal said and turned to Jay, "I mean, stealing things doesn't make you happy. Tourney and victory pizza with the team makes you happy." I subconsciously was smiling like a parent watching their kid grow up, I could tell Ben was the same.

"And you, scratching dude's belly makes you happy. Who would've thought? Oh, and I think it's pretty obvious you like (Y/N)." Mal said while winking. That comment caused Carlos to go wide-eyed and stare over in my direction, causing my face to heat up. Great, perfect time to be blushing.
