{Since I have no idea what to name this chapter we're getting the good ol' number five.}
(Also time skip because I don't wanna carry on the trust exercises.)
"So." Daniel started. "For the last month of camp; Camp Campbell, the Wood Scouts, and the Flower Scouts decide to do a final competition?"
"Of course! It's fun!" David happily said.
"If you call getting hit on by a preteen fun then sure." Gwen added as she folded her arms and grimaced.
Daniel stared at Gwen for a bit before returning his look to David. "What are the challenges?" He smiled. "If cooking is one I can make some good kool-aid."
"I think you being in the hospital for drinking kool-aid that you made is enough to say 'no!'" David said smiling yet having a small tone of nervousness.
"It's the usual. Three legged race, capture the flag, ultimate frisbee, etc etc." Gwen swung her hand in a circle.
"Ultimate frisbee? How do you make frisbee ultimate?" Daniel questioned.
"It's like normal frisbee but you get to watch kids tackle each other." Gwen answered.
Daniel gave a small hum of interest at the answer as he stared at the table. David was looking into his lap, thinking about what Max had said earlier.
'A cultist?' He thought. 'I mean. He's kinda creepy but I wouldn't call him that. Though I would recommend a chiropractor for his neck.'
"David." A voice spoke. His head shot up in surprise and looked down to a camper, Max at that.
"Oh hey there Max!" David chirped.
"I wanna talk to you... in private." Max looked at Daniel from the corner of his eyes.
"Well okay then!" He got up and followed Max to his tent. "What is it?" David asked as he sat down onto the floor.
Max stared at David for a bit before staring down at his bear. He mumbled something but David was unable to hear.
"What'd you say?"
"I said I'm—" He let his voice go back to a mumble as he cheeks became red.
"Max. Can you speak up please?"
"I said I'm sorry." Max grumbled.
David smiled and pat Max's shoulders. "There's no need to say sorry." David said. "You were just upset a bit, but it's not me that you need to apologize to."
Max stared at David, he knew where this was going. "No."
"Max."
"There's no way in hell."
"Max. Please."
"Only when it's the end of the world and I have to kill myself immediately after." Max spoke. "No wait. Not even my fucking ghost will do it."
David let out a little sigh and stared at Max. "Very well. But I need to get back to help plan for the Camper Games." David said as he stood up and walked out of the tent, heading back to the mess hall.

"Hello Gwendolyn." Pikeman said as he strutted up to Gwen.
Gwen stared at Pikeman, clearly uncomfortable. "Hello Pikeman." She responded.
Daniel walked up and poked his head near Pikeman, examining him and his small group. "So are you the Flower Scouts?" He questioned.
Pikeman gave a gasp of pure horrid as he stepped back. "Excuse you! We are the Wood Scouts! Don't you dare mistake us as those prissy ladies!" He yelled pointing a finger a Daniel.
"Prissy ladies?" Daniel said as he cocked his head a little to the side.
"Hello~" Someone said as their voice wavered a bit with two others speaking as well.
Daniel looked over and examined the three girls. "Flower Scouts."
"Totally." The red head spoke. "I'm Sasha."
"I'm Erin." The blue haired girl spoke.
"And I'm Tabii with two 'ii's." The last one said.
"And we're the Flower Scouts." They said in unison.
Daniel could feel the hatred radiate off both the Flower Scouts and the Wood Scouts as they stared at each other.
"Hi I'm Jermy Fartz." A boy said as he walked up and waved at Daniel.
Daniel stared at the boy with a slight grimace. "Y-You mean Jeremy?"
"Nope Jermy."
Daniel stared at Gwen who just shook her head. "I'm giving you the reward of taking care of those two camps. I have to go help David." Gwen said as she walked off.
Daniel frowned clearly not happy.
"Girls don't walk off without your Garden Mommy." A tall, muscular woman walked up, clearly catching Daniel's attention.
"Uh... Hello?"
The woman looked at Daniel and sighed.
"I'm Miss Priss. I'm these girls Garden Mother."
Daniel stared at the woman for an uncomfortable amount of time.
"Um excuse you!" Sasha started. "Are you trying to undress Miss Priss with your eyes?"
"What! No! I'm just... surprised."
"Surprised at what? That a woman can be strong?!" Erin carried on.
Daniel knew where this was going, into the forbidden land of politics... with children.
"N-No! I'm not saying that!" Daniel put his hands up slightly in defense. To tell the truth he would've already grabbed the girls throats if their 'garden mother' wasn't there and the very large Wood Scout camper that stared at Daniel with eyes that bore into his soul. "I need to go check up on Gwen and David real quick."
"You were told to watch over us." Pikeman stated.
Daniel froze and groaned as he looked at Pikeman. He inhaled quickly and let a smile shove its way onto his face. He turned his head quickly giving out the little 'crack' that made everyone jump.
"I understand what I was told but unless you want me to get physical with these very... precious girls I heavily recommend that you let me leave."
They all nodded in response. Daniel walked away rubbing his temples as he mumbled to himself.
