Daniel watched as David was searching for pajamas that Daniel could wear. He was given strict instructions on to find white clothes and of course the red head found it near impossible because of his dislike for pure white clothes. The closest he could find of white was a light gray tank top that he would occasionally wear when the nights got too hot, the rest of his wardrobe consisted of nature colors like, green, blue, purple, and some pinks even. But never white.

David gave out a defeated sigh and walked up to Daniel with the tank top. "This is all I have that's white." He mumbled with a small smile.

Daniel took the shirt from David. "I shouldn't of demanded of this. But I can't really bare to wear anything else."

"Do you not like any other color?"

"I've been taught that white is the purest color you could have. Any other color just meant corruption and disrespect."

David stared at the man and opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted. "But this is fine. I have no room to complain."

He nodded and walked back over to the drawer to get his own pajamas and heard the clicking of Daniel's belt. David's cheeks turned pink at the thought of the blonde removing his clothes right behind him but he swiped that thought away and gathered his clothes to change into. And without even looking towards Daniel he quickly walked into the bathroom and changed.

When he came out he noticed Daniel's clothes were neatly folded and his belt sat neatly on top with his shoes beside the table the clothes sat on. That was when David noticed Daniel. He was sitting on the edge of the bed wearing the light grey tank top and really white boxer-briefs. Daniel was twiddling his thumbs as he stared at the floor, clearly lost in a deep thought, though that was interrupted as he noticed that David came out of the bathroom.

Daniel stood up and smiled. "You're done?"

"Yeah. Oh. Did you need to use the restroom?" David asked as he turned a bit and pointed at the bathroom.

Daniel shook his head, still holding a smile. "No no. I was just waiting on you."

David smiled a bit and walked up to Daniel. "Alrighty. I guess you could sleep next to the wall so then if one of us rolls it isn't you that gets knocked off the bed."

"No. I can't just do that."

"Of course you can. I don't mind being knocked over. It could be worse." David laughed a bit.

Daniel smiled a bit. He guessed it was a small inside joke that he clearly didn't know of. So he crawled onto the bed and laid down next to the wall. Once the lights went off he felt the weight of David joining him on the bed. He kept his back turned to David so he was facing the wooden wall of the cabin. He looked back a bit and noticed that David was turned towards him, his eyes were already closed but he knew that David couldn't of fallen asleep so quickly so he turned his head back towards the wall.

He stayed still for awhile and listened to the animals chirping outside along with David's breathing. It was calming and he enjoyed the soothing sounds. Soon he felt two hands grip onto the back of his shirt, he stiffened up a bit and was tempted to turn around but that was before he felt a body push itself up against him. The person was shaking and whimpering, it was David. Daniel wanted to turn around and at least try to comfort him but was unable to, so he settled with just listening to the counselor.

After what felt like an hour David's whimpering stopped and he turned over. Daniel looked at David and turned to him. Soon grabbing his waist and pulling him into a tight hug. Daniel didn't like listening to people whimper, it was unpleasant and he only saw it as a nuisance. But for some reason, listening to this one person whimper made him hurt, his chest was tightening and he started to tear up. He felt useless but couldn't explain why. But soon enough he let his mind slowly go blank as his eyes closed and he fell asleep letting his head rest into David's neck.

David woke up to the sound of the birds chirping but also the feeling of something being wrapped around his waist and someone pressed against his back. He looked over his shoulder to see Daniel. He felt his face grow hot as he attempted to get out of the grip but failed. It felt nice to him but he needed to get up, he had to get ready. He had to take the damned medicine that held him somewhat sane. Soon he got out of Daniel's grip and he walked to the bathroom. David did the essentials; brushing his teeth, combing and fixing his hair, getting dressed, taking the medicine that he wish he could get done with, and reminding himself to be a happy Camp Campbell counselor like how Darla and Gregg were when he was a kid.

David pinched his cheeks. "Smile. Today can't be a bad one. Not today. Save the tears for the nights." He sighed and smiled widely but jumped when he saw Daniel in the mirror. "D-Daniel!"

"So you do this on a regular basis? It's not just a one time every few years thing?"

David was a little hesitant to answer but Daniel was blocking the doorway and he had to answer to get out. "Yes. I do. It's not fun but it keeps me alive and going and that's what counts."

Daniel didn't seem impressed at the answer, as if David just spoke a huge lie. But David put on a serious face and moved Daniel out of the doorway as he walked by. "Now if you excuse me I have campers to wake up. Please be ready before then."

David walked out of the cabin letting the screen door slam back into place while Daniel walked around for a bit and slammed his fist into the wall. But he sighed, got dressed, and walked out of the cabin with a smile that resembles David's.
