Doctor Who? Nope, Don't own it.

I hold my hands in the air as I hear the Doctor and Rose come out behind me. "You will explain your presence and the nakedness of these girls," I look up and mounted on a black horse, sits a man wearing a red coat. I look around and find that we're surrounded by even more men wearing the exact same thing, most likely soldiers, who were blocking our view from a black carriage. "Are we in Scotland?", the Doctor exclaims happily. I peer past the surrounding soldiers and gaze at the rolling hills. This doesn't look like Los Angeles. "How can you be ignorant of that?" I continue to stare out into the valley behind the men, the realization slowly dawning on me that maybe these people weren't crazy and that maybe I wasn't a schizophrenic. "I feel pretty ignorant right now," I say in a flat tone. The Doctor turns back to the man. "Oh I'm dazed and confused, I've been chasing these wee naked children over hill and over dale. Isn't that right?", he turns to me and Rose and I open my mouth to say something snarky. "Aye, we've been oot and aboot," Rose tries to twist her words into a Scottish accent, quickly shot down by the Doctor's embarrassed look. "No, don't do that," the Doctor facepalms at Rose. He turns to me for an answer and I shrug. "Yeah, sure. Lots of running from me," I form my hands into a thumbs up. "Can you identify yourself, sir?"

"I'm Doctor James McClennan, uh I have my credentials if I may," the Doctor reaches towards his coat pocket and the man nods. Rose lowers her hands, and I follow suit, feeling the blood rush back down into my arms. The Doctor pulls out what looks like a wallet and opens it. I catch sight of a blank piece of paper inside before he holds it up for the man to see. "As you can see, I have a doctorate," my face morphs into a mixture of embarrassment and agony as he shows it to the rest of the men, all seeming not to take note of the obvious blank paper. "Let them approach," I turn towards the black carriage that rested behind the men. "I don't think that's wise ma'am," the mounted man answers the voice. "Let the approach," the voice repeats. "You will approach the carriage," the man says without lowering his gun. Well, what if I don't want to approach the carriage? The Doctor and Rose grin at one another before heading towards the carriage with me right at their heels. We pass more armed men until we reach the side door and a man in a black suit and top hat pulls open the door, revealing an aged woman inside. I peek over the Doctor's shoulder and I'm met with the woman's icy blue gaze, making me want to hide again. "Rose, Clarke, might I introduce you to her Majesty, Queen Victoria. Empress of India, and defender of the faith," I draw in my breath. "Rose Tyler ma'am," the Doctor nudges me. "Clarke, sorry for being naked," I add. "I've had five daughters. It's nothing to me," she turns to the Doctor. "And you Doctor, show me these credentials," the Doctor hands her his 'credentials' and she takes it in her hand. She peers down at it for a moment before her face lights up. "Why didn't you say so immediately? It states clearly here that you have been appointed by Lord Provence as my protector," she hands the blank paper back to the Doctor. "Does it? Oh yes, good, good. Then let me ask, why is your majesty traveling by road when there's a train?", his question hardens the Queen's face. "A tree on the line."

"An accident?"

"I am the great Queen of Great Britain. Everything around me tends to be planned."

"An assassination attempt?" the Doctor inquires.

"Wait seriously? There are people out to kill you?", Rose asks. "I'm quite used to staring down the barrel of a gun," the Queen responds. "Sir Robert MacLeish lives but ten miles hence. We've sent word ahead. He'll shelter us for tonight, then we can reach Balmoral tomorrow," I hear the soldier speak behind me."This Doctor and his timorous beasties will come with us," the Queen speaks to the soldier. "Yes, ma'am. It's almost nightfall. We better get moving," the soldier keeps on behind me. "Indeed. And there are stories of wolves in these parts. Fanciful tales intended to scare the children. But good for the blood, I think. Drive on!", the man dressed in a black suit closes the carriage door, and I hear the slap of the reins on the horse's rump. The carriage starts slowly moving, the soldiers getting in a protective formation around the carriage. "Are they making us walk?" I scoff and sneer at the mounted soldiers as they continue to rise on. "Don't be such a lazy bum. The exercise is good for you," the Doctor grins and he and Rose start to follow the carriage. I groan and match my pace to theirs. "Tell you what though, we just met Queen Victoria," Rose says happily. "She's so serious. It's like she always has a resting bitch face, no offense to the Queen," I shrug and kick at a rock, dreading the walk ahead. "I bet I can make her say, "We are not amused". I bet you ten quid," Rose says to me. "First of all, I don't go by that currency. Secondly, she seems like someone who would cut off your head the moment she decides she doesn't like you," I point out to Rose. "Well I do go by that currency, so I'm willing to bet on it," the Doctor adds. We walk in silence for a few moments before the Doctor speaks up again. "You seem to be taking this very well Clarke," I squint at the Doctor, trying not to let the sun in, and shrug. "I don't know, it just seems like a dream. Maybe I was actually abducted by aliens and this is a coma dream," I stare at the back of the carriage. I was surprised at my reaction as well. I wasn't a fantasy fanatic as a kid. But I always took comfort in the thought that there was something out there. I wasn't scared at all when I was staring around the dome room. I guess the only thing that scared me was how calm I felt. "Well we didn't abduct you," the Doctor pauses. "But I am an alien," he gives me a half smile and I scoff. "Yeah sure, and I'm actually a space pirate," I laugh and glance at Rose and see her with a neutral face on, not laughing. "Wait, you serious?" I feel my jaw drop. The Doctor nods at me. "So, is that box like your spaceship?" I look back at the blue box, sitting in the grass like a lonely kid. "It's called a TARDIS. Time And Relative Dimension In Space," I stare at the shrinking figure of the box, feeling my brain start to hurt. "But it's like, super small. And inside, it's big," I look at the Doctor and see a small frown on his face. "I guess you could say it like that," I hear Rose giggle. "And what about the thingy that makes the weird noise and the blank paper you kept showing everyone?" The Doctor grins and me and pats my head. "It's alien stuff. Highly classified," I scoff and see Rose skip to my side. "Then I'll teach her about all the classified stuff," she links her arm with mine. "But it's classified, you can't do that!"
