It's the morning of our wedding day. Becky, Grace, Rebecca and I are at my parents house, where we stayed last night. The ceremony isn't until this afternoon. I didn't want Mike being too hungover!

I have found the perfect dress. No-one has seen it yet, not even Becky. I want it to be a huge surprise.

Becky does my hair and make up for me. I love what she does but still refuse to put the dress on until the last minute. I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt and leaving Grace with Becky, I go outside into the garden for a smoke. I started again a couple of months ago. I hear someone call my name and turn around to see Mike walking through the patio doors.

"Nice outfit" he laughs.

"Not getting my dress mucky" I laugh. "Why are you here?" I ask.

"Wanted to give you this, from Tony" he says, handing me a package wrapped in tissue paper.

Inside is a wooden lovespoon. I smile remembering the promise he made me all that time ago.

"Is Tony ok?" I ask.

"Yeah. He kind of has this really goofy smile and keeps talking about marrying some chick he likes. Do you know her?''

"I've heard she's pretty amazing for putting up with his crazy friends" I laugh. "Now go and get ready. You're not coming to my wedding looking like that". He's currently in shorts and a vest.

Becky brings Grace down to see uncle Mike and it takes us ages to get him to leave. He assures us it will only take him minutes to get ready anyway.

I get Grace into her bridesmaids dress, which is doubling as her christening gown. Becky and Rebecca get their dresses on. They chose royal blue, slim fitting dreams  of a dress. I let them pick whatever they wanted. They have to wear them all day after all.

I go to put my dress on. I bought it off a website and decorated it with jewels myself. It took many hours in secret and I think it looks stunning. I know Tony will love it.

I slowly walk down the stairs where my family are waiting for me. My mum looks at me and puts her hand over her mouth in shock.

"You look beautiful" she whispers, gently hugging me. She goes out to the car with Becky, Rebecca and Grace to get to the church before my dad and I. Dad looks at me and tells me I do look like a princess. I hug him and smile. I'm nervous and excited at the same time.
