A Night [In Just One Night So Much Can Change]

Chapter 18

"Let's begin. When you're were admitted by your friends here you were unconscious and lost a fair amount of blood. In which case we put you into a medically induced coma and had to perform a blood transfusion. Your blood type is w difficult one to find a match for and we also had run out of it here at the hospital. So we got your brother Corbyn and sister Ashley to donate some blood. They donated about 6 pints all together so about 3 pints each. Once we gave you the blood we had to wait until you woke up from the medically induced coma for anyone to see you or to know your current status. Within the next few days we'll have you here just to check over you or you can ho home and rest and pay a nurse to watch over you every now and then." She says

"Oh okay, can you get my family to come back in?" I ask

"Sure thing." She says

The nurse walked towards the door and opened it. She then turned back towards me.

"Listen. Feel better okay." She says

"I'll try my best." I say

With that she walks out the door and makes her way down the hallway. Sooner or later 4 familiar faces make their way into my room. Ashley, Jordan, Corbyn and our Mom. As Ashley sits down on the end of my bed the rest of them just stand by my side. Jordan and Corbyn on the left side and Mom on the right side. Mom holds on to my right hand tightly but not to tight. I look up at her and she shoots me a reassuring smile. I immediately smile back at her and tighten my grip on her hand.

"The nurse told us that she explained to you your current state and what we can do to help you." Jordan says

"Do want to stay in the hospital?" Mom asks

"Or do you want us to pay a nurse to come to the house? You'll be able to spend more time with us." Ashley asks

"I don't know what I want to do yet." I say

"Take your time to think." Corbyn says

"We'll support your decision, no matter what." Mom says

"I don't know if I've ever told you guys this. But I love you guys so much." I say crying

I honestly don't know why I'm crying again. Meeting my family may just have this effect on my emotions. They take me into a quick hug.

"We love you too." Ashley says

We break away from our hug. A huge smile forms on my face and I wipe away my tears. I think about my decision and think about how it could effect some things. But I decided to go with my heart says.

"I've decided." I say

"What's your final decision?" Jordan asks

I take a deep breath.

"I want to go home. I want to be able to experience this time with you guys outside of these four ugly hospital bedroom walls." I say

"I'l- we'll do everything possible to help you and improve your state." Corbyn says

"Definitely." Ashley says

"I'll talk to the nurse, just give me a few minutes." Mom says

Mom walks out of the room and disappears into the hallway. Which leaves me in the room with three of my siblings. Corbyn, Jordan and Ashley. We all started at each other, trying to keep a straight face. Key word trying. We bursted into a fit of laughter. Just pure laughter. The moments I could have had with my siblings throughout the years. But remember everything happens for a reason I just need to figure out mine. The laughter soon ends and leaves a smile on everyone of our faces.

"So how long are you L.A for?" I ask

"Absolutely no clue." Ashley says

"I think it's just for another few days, cause Ashley and I have school." Jordan says

"That's right." Corbyn says

"I really don't want to go back." Ashley says

"But we have too Ash." Jordan says

"I know..." Ashley says

"That reminds me." Corbyn says

"What now Mr. Stuart?" I ask

"We need to get you signed up for school." Corbyn says

"No thanks." I say

"Why not?" Corbyn asks

"Never been. Never wanna go." I say

"You've never been in school?" Jordan asks

"Nope." I say

Mom soon walks back into the room with a nurse bot to far behind her. They walk closer to my bed. And tell me the news to come. Good or bad. I'll expect either at this point.
