A Night [In Just One Night So Much Can Change]

Chapter 13

Once everything went black, it soon became cold. There were flashes of white every now and then. In the movies they say not to walk towards the white light and normally the character does but I'm gonna to make a smart decision and stay here. Just floating in around in the black atmosphere. I felt a shock near my heart, it wasn't a strong one but strong enough that I could feel it. A sense of relief went over me like I had been awakened from a very long nap. But I was still seeing the darkness. I was awake and there but I couldn't see anything.

*Meanwhile*

Doctors and nurses started rushing into the emergency room. I didn't think anything of it, because the doctor told us there was a slim possibility of Clary waking up. I sat up in my chair, waiting for some news even if it wasn't about Clary. I want to know what's going on. I felt a hand on my shoulder, I turned around to see Christina standing there. I hugged into her waist, she placed her hands on my back and rubbed it slowly.

"Hi." She said

"Hi, I thought you weren't going to be here until tomorrow. We were talking about it today." I said

"Corbyn, we talked yesterday. My flight left today." She said

"Really?" I asked

"Yeah, have you not slept since then?" She asked

"I don't think so, none of us have slept expect for Zach." I say

"Well you should get some sleep." She said

"But what if something goes wrong or they have news on her situation and I'm not here to listen." I say

"Listen I'll wake you up if anything happens and I mean anything. Okay? You can always trust me." She says

"Okay, thank you Christina." I say

"Good night baby." She says as she kisses my forehead

"Night." I say as I try best to get comfortable in the tiny chair

*A Few Hours Later*

I felt someone shake me. I didn't bother to get up, I just ignored it. Like can a bean not have their beauty sleep without being bothered. About a minute or two later I was shaken again. This time I shot up from my sleep. When I shot up I distance open my eyes at all. As soon as I shot up I felt a sudden pain in my head.

"OW!" I heard someone yell

I finally open my eyes to see who I hit in the face. I look at the ground and see Daniel laying on the floor rubbing his head in pain.

"Sorry but a bean needs their beauty sleep." I say

"Well sorry. Christina tried to wake you and you wouldn't move so I volunteered to try and what do I get? A sore head." Daniel says

"Well at least Corbyn is awake." Jonah says trying to lighten the mood

"Well why did you wake me?" I ask

"Corbyn." Christina says pointing to the doctor standing on my left

I stand up and look at the doctor straight in his eyes.

"Are you Corbyn Besson?" The doctor asks

"Yeah, why isn't my family here?" I ask

"They left an hour ago." Christina says

"Okay." I say

"So we have an update on Clarissa situation." The doctor says

"Is she okay?" I ask

"She actually just fine. She woke up 15 minutes ago and she's doing wonderful. In about 45 minutes we can discharge her." The doctor says

"Can we see her?" I ask

"Family only." The doctor says

"Okay, thank you." I say

"She's in room 487, when your ready to see her." The doctor says as she walks away

After the doctor walks away all six of us gather into one big group hug. I'm not going to lie tears were shed. We break away after a long hug.

"I have to call Ashley." I say

I quickly take out my phone and dial Ashley's number. It rings about 2 times before she picks up.

"Hey Corbs." Ashley says

"Hey Ash." I say

"Is everything okay?" She asks

"Actually everything is perfect." I say

"What do you mean by perfect?" She asks

"It's Clary." I say

"Is she okay?" She asks

"She's awake." I say

"Wait, really?" She asks

"She woke up not to long ago." I say

"We'll be there in 5 minutes, go on and see her." She says

"I will." I say

I hang up without saying goodbye. I quickly walk to Clary's room. When I reach the outside of her room I peak into the window outside of her room. I see her laying there peacefully, looking at her surroundings. I walk up to the door and lightly knock on it, she looks over at me and a huge smile forms on her face when she sees me.
