A Night [In Just One Night So Much Can Change]

Chapter 14

Clary's POV

Suddenly I feel my eyes flutter open. I sit up in the bed and see that I'm connected to a bunch of wires. I look around the unfamiliar room at all the plain colours. Tan, white and grey. A few accents of purple, here and there. But for the most part it was pretty plain. I looked around for so long until I heard a light knock on the door. I slowly turn my head to the direction of the door expecting to see a nurse or doctor. But there stood a Jack Frost resembling Corbyn Besson. A huge smile appeared on my face. He quickly made his way over to where I was sitting and we gave each other a humongous hug. I was happy to finally be able to hug my best friend again. But one thing bothered me during the hug, something that would change everything if Corbyn knew. After we broke away from the hug, he stood by my side of the bed. He just looked around the room before he spoke.

"It's pretty plain in here, the colours are really boring." He says

"It really is." I say

The awkward silence fell upon us. We just looked at each other without saying anything. And then it broke.

"I know something that could change everything." We both say

"What?" He asks

"How bout we say it at the same time." I say

"Okay." He says

"We're siblings." We both say

"How did you know?" He asks

"It was wired. Our grandmother or something was there and she told me." I say

"What do you mean she was there? She died a few years ago." He says

"When I was in the coma, I was put into this white room and a whole bunch of people were there and she was one of them." I say

"Oh." He says

"It's really hard to explain." I say

"I have an idea of what you're talking about." He says

"Well I've done my job." I say

"You definitely have." He says

"Anyways." I say

"Ashley, Jordan and my- our mom are coming soon." He says

"Okay, I can finally meet them." I say while smiling

"Finally." He says

"You know you can sit down right?" I say

"I know." He says as he sits down on the end of my bed and faces me.

"So what else don't I know about you?" I ask

"I have a girlfriend named Christina, that's pretty it. I'm not very interesting and you know everything else." He says

"Is she here? Can I meet her? And I mean we are best friends." I say/ask

"Christina is in the waiting room and if they'll let her in you can meet her. And I'm thankful your my best friend and my little sister." He says while smiling

"I'm sure they'll let her. Just ask Ashley or someone to ask the nurse." I say

"I'll call her." He says

"Okay." I say

Corbyn takes his phone out of his pocket and dials Ashleys number. Once the call goes through he puts it on speaker phone so I can hear. It rings a few times before Ashley answers the phone.

"Yes Corbs?" She asks

"Not even a hello?" He asks

"Nope. Not this time." She says

"Okay then. Next time you won't het one either." He says

"Fine by me. So what did you want?" She asks

"Well I was wondering, before you guys come into Clary's room if you could ask the nurse if Christina could come in." He says

"Fine. Only because I like Christina not because I like you." She says

"I like you anyways so...." He says

"Alright." She says

"Let me talk to Jordan." He says

"Nope." She says as she hangs up

After Ashley hangs up on Corbyn. He put his phone in his pocket and began to look around the room some more. Soon he turns back and faces me.

"I'm going to say this again. It's so boring in here." He says

"I stan you sometimes." I say

"Same." He says

"You stan yourself?" I ask

"Yes. Is that a problem?" He asks

"Not a all." I say

Corbyns phone makes the sound of a text notification. He takes his phone out of his pocket and checks the notification.

"They're walking down the hallway as we speak." He says

"Like now?" I ask

"Yes, now." He says

"Oh my." I say as I take a few deep breaths

I was halfway through taking deep breaths when there was a knock outside my door. Me and Corbyn looked at each other. He got up and walked over to the door. He slowly opened the door to reveal.
