Morinings - Shikamaru x Reader Modern AU

Like any other morning, I woke up with the sun in my face and strong arms around my waist. I slowly roll over to see my boyfriends peaceful sleeping face, causing me to form a small smile and lightly kiss his forehead. 

After lying down for what seemed like forever I managed to squirm out of  Shikamaru's arms. Now standing up I stretched before heading out of my bedroom towards the kitchen.

It didn't take me long once I got to the kitchen, to get the necessities to make scrambled eggs. As I scrambled the eggs in the pan I felt someone tickle my hips from behind, causing me to scream.

"Ha ha ha... Oh (Y/N).... that was priceless.." Shikamaru laughed on the ground, holding his stomach from laughing so hard.

"Oh really..." I asked turning away from the stove, holding the spatula above my head having an evil look in my eye.

Shikamaru gulped seeing my raging form, "Come on babe... I was just having fun..."

I sighed turning back to the stove focusing on the eggs, "Your lucky I am cooking right now."

Shikamaru got off the ground dusting himself off before, wrapping his arms around my waist like he did this morning. Not only did he do that though he placed soft kisses on my neck.

"Your so lucky I love you," I grumbled turning off the stove due to the eggs being done and, moving them to the back burner.

"I know, I am the luckiest man in the world." Shikamaru said nuzzling his head in the crook of my neck, "And you're lucky too because I love you too."

Sighing once again I ask, "Okay if you love me you wouldn't mind getting the plates, forks and, drinks would you?"

Shikamaru murmured as he went to do as he was told, "Troublesome Woman."

While Shikamaru was doing that I decided to put 4 slices of bread into the toaster. As I for waited for the toast to pop I could hear Shikamaru muttering complaints like usual causing me to laugh. But I wasn't laughing for long as the toast popped causing me to jump. 

"Hey, Shikamaru mind bringing the plates over so I can serve us?" I requested taking the toast out of the toaster.

"Yeah, yeah sure give me a minute," Shikamaru replied bringing the plates over from the table.

Once the plates were in my possession I wasted no time putting the toast and eggs on the plates.  But I wasn't stopping there as I got the butter and ketchup from the fridge putting the butter on the toast then the ketchup on the eggs. (A/N If you don't like ketchup on your eggs.... suck it up)

As soon as I finished up putting the condiments on the food I walked over to the small dining table with both plates in hand. Once I reached the said table I put down the plates taking a seat across from an already seated Shikamaru.

"Thanks for you help Shikamaru." I thanked sarcastically taking a bite of my food.

"Hmm, oh well no problem babe. By the way, this is really good." Shikamaru said taking a bite of his toast. 

"Idiot..."
