SunSets- Shikamaru x Reader

"He's late.....again..." I mumbled angrily while looking up and down the streets of Konoha. It wasn't the first time Shikamaru was late for a date but, it still got on my nerves.

Just as I was about to say screw it and go back home, someone wrapped their arms around my waist.

"Ready to get going?" A lazy voice whispered into my ear who I recognized as Shikamaru's.

Instead of being like a normal person and replying nicely, I turned around and smacked him upside the head while lecturing him.

"Why the heck would you do that!?!? Do you know how bad you scared me!?!?!" I raged pointing a accusing finger at him.

Shikamaru rubbed the side of his head before responding, "Jeez chill woman. I thought if I tried to be sweet, you wouldn't be mad at me for being late."

All I did was huff and turn my back to him, "The thought was cute and all but! You got to think about how I would react-"

I was silenced was Shikamaru turned me around and kissed me dead on the lips.

"Well that shut you up.." Shikamaru stated putting his arm around my waist, "Now lets get going shall we. The blanket is getting heavy."

With that said I complied to his wish still, bewildered by the sudden display of affection.

We arrived on the rooftop just in time. Hurriedly we got the blanket on the ground and, immediately fell on it. I couldn't help but to snuggle up to Shikamaru. And to my delight he snuggled back.

"You know what would be good right now?" I asked Shikamaru as I gazed at the sun slowly setting.

"I don't know. What would be good right now?" Responded Shikamaru.

A smile crept on my face just at the thought, "Either chocolate milk, a can of Soda or, some good old chocolate cake."

Shikamaru chuckled at my cravings, "You are one weird woman."

"But~ I am your weird woman~" I cooed looking up at Shikamaru and planting a kiss on his lips.

Unlike the kiss from earlier this one lasted longer. Not only was it longer but, it was filled with some much love and passion.

"Yeah I guess you are." Shikamaru agreed with me once we pulled apart.
