The Last Battle

Mitch's POV

My lips were connected to Chloe's as I held her waist. She broke the kiss and blushed. "That was enjoyable."I said. She smiled and put her arms around my neck. "You guys, stop being all googly to each other. Seriously, it's gross."We heard Scott say.

I looked at him and noticed his eyes were fully blue and that he wasn't pale.

"Jeez, nice to see you as a human too, Scott."I said with a smile. Chloe giggled and kept her arms around my neck.

"Wait, what about Avi and Kevin?"She asked.

"We're right here."They said in unison. I look at the both of them and their eyes are back to its original colors. Chloe and Em hug Scott, Avi, and Kevin. Chloe looks back at me with a smirk which I found cute.

"But, what about Darren? He's now a lifeless body."Em said and pointed to the guy who killed himself. Chloe walked past me and looked at Darren.

"He didn't have to kill himself. This isn't fair.."She said and let tears escape her eyes.

"I know you're sad, Chloe. But he's in a better place now."I said. I crouched down to Chloe's level and hugged her while she cried.

"I'm sorry, Mitch. I'm so sorry."She said into my chest.

"For what?"

"For everything. I'm sorry, Mitch. I'm-"I cut her off by lifting her face to look at me and crashed my lips into hers. I lifted a hand from her waist to her face and put her hair behind her ear.

"Uh, guys? We have a problem."Avi said. I broke the kiss and looked behind me and saw a boney.

"Crap. What do we do?"I asked with Chloe cuddled up to me and whimpered.

Soon, more bonies appeared. We were outnumbered. All of the sudden, a gunshot goes off and I see a boney on the floor dead. Em had a gun up in her left hand while Kirstie clutched onto her.

"What do we do?! We don't have any guns or weapons!"Kevin yelled.

A boney lunges at Scott and Scott screams out loud. Em shoots the boney in the head and the boney falls off of Scott.

"Guys,"Kevin paused.

"Let the battle begin."

Everyone was standing up and Chloe was still having her head in my chest. "Mitch, if this is our last time that we'll see each other, I want to tell you something."Chloe said and looked up at me.

"I love you, Mitch. I love you so much."She said. "I love you too, Chloe."

We kissed quickly and she escaped my grip. Em shot another boney than the bonies come towards us. One comes towards me and I kick it to where it falls back.

Chloe gets a gun out of her pocket and shoots the boney. "Help me! Please!"Em yelled. I looked at her and saw a boney trying to bite her. "Take care of Em. I'll fight any that comes my way."Chloe said.

I nodded and ran for Em. She lost the grip of her gun and she kept screaming. I got the gun and targeted it against the boney. I don't exactly remember how to use a gun but I'll try.

I pull the trigger and bam! The boney plopped down beside of Em and she sat up. I hand her back the gun and let her keep shooting the bonies off. I look over at Avi and see him fighting them off with Kevin. While Kirstie is with me and Chloe is fighting off the bonies by herself.

My nerves take over my body. I feel sweat drip down my forehead.

"Mitch! Watch out!"Chloe yelled.

I turned and saw a boney running towards me and I punched it in the face. It falls on it's back- erm- not technically its spine. Chloe shot it in the skull and it plopped on the cold, cement ground.

"Guys, I'm out of bullets!"Em yelled and dropped her gun.

"I can't fight them any longer!"Avi yelled and ran back along with Kevin.

Chloe shot three more bonies which left three more left.

"I'm out of bullets too!"She yelled and a boney cornered her. "Back off!"I ran towards the boney and punched it in the eye socket.

All of the sudden, all of the bonies fall down to the ground and stay down. I looked up and saw a guy in a army outfit.

"Robert! Thank you so much!"Chloe ran towards him and gave him a hug that seemed like it lasted forever.

"So, what happens now?"Kirstie asks while hugging Em.

"I don't know. All that matters is that the world is changing. We changed. Other zombies can change."I said and kissed Chloe's cheek.

"Agreed. And you two are what? Dating?"Kevin smirked.

"Well,"Chloe smashes her lips into mine and the rest cheered and laughed.

"Does that answer your question?"I asked.

"Indeed."Kevin said with a smile stretched across her face.

"But, let's just say this is all of our happy endings."I said. Chloe smiles and holds onto me tightly.

"Agreed, Mitch."She said and kissed my cheek.

"Agreed."
