Hold out for love

***Kayla's POV***

I hang near the front of the stage to see Ben play. A cute boy with black hair and deep brown eyes. We talk for a bit even after Ben has left the stage, I'm sure he's looking for me but he's not my boyfriend so. Whatever band is playing was too loud for us to hear each other so we wandered down by the river. We sat down by the river and he began to kiss me. I wanted to back out, tell him no. But he pulled me in trying to take off my clothes. No. I start scream and get out of his grip. I hear a punch that releases him from my grip. I look up to see Ben.

"I'm sorry" I say sobbing

"Don't be baby" He said picking me up from the unconscious man

We go back to the bus and I just want to lay down. I go into James' bed and lay down due to extreme laziness and not wanting to climb to my own. I sigh feeling James climb in too, I suppose he doesn't realize I'm in here. He jumps a bit when he sees me then smiles.

"Hey beautiful" he says

***James' POV***

"Hi handsome" she replies.

"Why are you here?" I ask

"Tired, but lazy"

"Same" I am so excited, bunks are small so we are very close, I can feel her warm breath

"Your set was very good"

"Thanks. I saw you in the crowd"

"Yeah. Made sure I was right in front for my boys" she laughs

"Are you and Ben like a couple?"

"I don't know" she admits

"Well do you want to?"

"I don't know" she says starting to cry.

"There there" I say wiping her tears and pulling her into a hug after a while she falls asleep. I smell her sweet fruity aroma just being happy she is in my arms. I know she is falling for Ben, if she hasn't already.

***Flashback to high school****

"That girl has a booty that I'd tap" Danny howls at Kayla from afar

"Hush Danny!" I say "she's a person too"

"A very sexy girl"

"Beautiful" I correct

"Little James has a crush! How cute."

"Shut the bloody hell up" I smack him.

"Confess your undying love for Kayla to poppa Danny"

"Come on lets go to math" I say pulling him along

***Back to the present***

Kayla wakes up and leaves my bunk going to the bathroom leaving me feeling empty again. I hear her phone ring with a tone from Hollywood Undead and some mumbles.

"No" she screams throwing her phone and breaking down in sobs. I peek out of my bunk to see that Ben was already at her side asking what was wrong.

***Kayla's POV***

"Kayla what's wrong?" Ben asks running to my side

"Nothing" I say pushing him aside and running out the door for a nice jog

***Flashback***

"Uno" I say smiling

"No way. You're cheating!" my grandma says brittley. He smile is accompanied by a sagging skin, she has short, thin grey hair. She wears a cheesy shirt that says 'I love my grandchildren' will all of my cousins names on it. She shrugs putting down a yellow one.
