The Death of Love

***Kayla's POV***

Ben and Danny insisted on coming. At least we only plan on staying two nights. We get off the plane in Wisconsin and drive a taxi back to my childhood home.''

"Hey sweetie" My mom says giving me a big hug

"Hi mum how you doing?" I ask sympathetically

"Trying to stay strong. Who are your friends here?"

"Mom this is Ben and this is Danny"

"Ben's a cutie!" she whispers in my ear

"Yeah well um it's late so we are gonna go to bed'' I say leading them upstairs. I take them down a hallway and into my childhood room. The walls are painted orange with postcards and nicknacks from around the world set on shelves. Almost every inch of wall space was covered in band posters and drawings.

The boys set their suitcases down and we all go to brush our teeth. I have a full size bed so only two of us fit. Ben stays on the ground the first night. I cover up with my black quilt and lay on Danny's chest.

I wake up to the smell of my dads famous pancakes. I push Danny out of bed making him land on Ben, sending us all into a fit of giggles. Ben and Danny slept in their boxers last night so they put on their jeans. I walk downstairs greeting my dad in the kitchen, the boys do the same and my dad rolls his eyes at the sight of them shirtless.

"You guys can hang out here while I go to the funeral. We have xbox"

"I've met your grandmum before. We had a great conversation at graduation" Ben says

***Flashback***

"Hey Kayla!" Ben calls walking up to my grandma and I with Danny

"Grandma this is Ben and Danny" I introduce

"Ah Ben! He's quite the looker Kayla" My grandma chuckles

"Thank you" Ben says

"Hey. We got a party going on after wanna come chill with us" Danny butts in.

I look at my grandma like I don't want to leave her

"Go deary. These boys are quite nice."

"Thank you. And hey your grand daughter is quite a looker too" Ben says

"I looked quite like her too at her age" she says pulling out a picture from her purse

"Who is that with you in the picture?" Danny asks

"My brothers and sisters"

"You have five siblings?" He asks astonished

"Why yes. That was the norm back in my day."

"How did your parents feed all you?" Ben asks "I'm hungry all the time"

"We lived on a farm. Free food, for work of course" Grandma says sighing

"Wow." Ben says

"It was very nice meeting you boys, but I suppose you want to go to your party."

"Actually would you like to get some tea with us? The party starts later anyways"

"Well if you don't mind an old lady hanging out with you boys"

I'm actually surprised. Maybe they're not such party boys after all

***Present***

"I suppose" I say

"Good because we brought clothes and we weren't taking no for an answer" Danny says finishing off his pancakes. I throw the dishes in the dishwasher and head upstairs. I grab a black lacy dress out of my bag and head for the bathroom to take a shower.

"I need a shower too!" Ben says running in with me.

"Really? Go after"

"Danny is going after"

"Go after Danny" I say rolling my eyes

"The funeral starts in an hour. No time and I'd rather shower with a pretty girl than a fat man"

"Fine. But eyes above the chest" I say feeling defeated. I keep my back to him letting him wash my hair.

"Why do you only have girl scented shampoo? I'm going to smell like fruity deliciousness"

"Sorry" I mumble washing out the shampoo.

"Kayla?" He says biting his lip

"Yeah?" I say then he turns me around and kisses me. I feel the same jolt of energy. I push him against the wall with a thunk. I feel him harden around me, inviting my tongue in my mouth. He kisses my neck and I let out a moan, going for his neck due to another jolt.

"Guys really? We have to leave soon" Danny says knocking on the door.

"Bloody hell" Ben mumbles. I step out wrapping myself into a towel and Ben does the same. I get dressed putting on my dress and a few bracelets. He puts on black dress pants and a tie to cover his black All Time Low shirt, then putting on a dress coat to finish it off.

We exit letting Danny go in and I go to my room turning on my straighter. Ben straightens my hair while I put on white eye shadow, black eyeliner and mascara. Danny gets out of the shower and gets ready to leave. I grab my car keys and drive my mom's car since my parents went early to set up. We drive fifteen minutes as I tell them stories.

The service was sad as they went through her life. They then had people go up for speaking, to tell their own stories. I am already sobbing in Ben's arms so I don't go up but Danny does. I try to listen between muffled sobs but all I really know is him making everyone laugh with his story. A few more people go up and the service eventually ends along with my sobbing.

The service ends and we leave and go get lunch.

"The best place here is Kopps." I say. It's a small burger shop 5 minutes away. Ben and Danny get burgers and I order a salad. We all sit down and eat our meals laughing our asses off about Danny's speech.

We all play xbox until three in the morning, when I fall asleep on Ben's shoulder after he knifes me on Call Of Duty.

The next morning we wake up and get back on the plane to go home.
