All I Want Is You

Chapter 8

*SIGHS* Ok so I know nothing I say is going to be a good enough reason as to why I haven't uploaded in over 2 months so I'm just going to skip the excuses and say: I AM SOOO SORRY!! Seriously I feel horrible for not uploading in so long but I've been going through the worst case of writers block for this story. Even now, I'm pushing and forcing myself to write this chapter. I WANT to write but I CAN'T.

                                                                   

But just to clear things up about the story, Jade and Daniel are mates but Jade is scared to let Daniel in because she doesn't want to get hurt. But because they are mates its hard for her to really fight him and her feelings.

Anyway, here's the chapter. It's not as long as I would like it to be but it's the best I can do right now. Please don't hate me :/

The next 20 minutes was spent with rematches against Lance, even Daniel came to watch. It was a bit nerve wrecking but in the end I won and I pissed Lance off even more so I guess it was worth it.  While I take a break to get something to drink Daniel walks over to me, instantly making my heart race back up.

“That was impressive Jade.  I must say though, you look incredibly sexy when you’re fighting.” Daniel smiles and wraps his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

I try to step away from him but his grip on me just tightens so I sigh and stay where I am. “Yeah, well you could’ve stopped the rematches a long time ago instead of making me continually fight Landon.”

“I would’ve but you needed to prove yourself to the other packs.” Daniel says, “Plus you were doing fine. You didn’t lose a single match.”

“True. I am pretty bad-ass.” I say grinning.

Daniel chuckles and pulls me even closer to him “Don’t let it get to your head. So I was thinking that since another alpha is taking over for a few hours we could hang out and maybe get something to eat together?”

Spend time together? That’s the last thing I should be doing if I want to keep control over my feelings. But the look on his face, the way he looked uncertain and wary like he knew I would reject him made me give in.

“Sure, what do you have in mind?”

We’ve been in the parking lot of the fast food joint eating and talking for over an hour. And I can honestly say I’m having a great time. We’ve gone back and forth sharing stories and just getting to know each other, no pressure at all. I’ve learned that Daniel’s favorite color is blue; he loves to watch The Office, loves music with meaning and so much more. We actually have a lot in common which isn’t really surprising considering he’s my mate. And I know I said I wanted to keep away but it seems no matter how much I try I can’t resist him.

“I’m having a really great time Daniel.” I say smiling and squeeze his hand gently sending a shock of tingles up my arm.

“So am I Jade. I’m so happy you came with me.” he replies, placing a soft kiss on the inside of my wrist. “I don’t want to try and rush things but I would really like for you to give us a chance. I want you to be my girlfriend.”

My heart beat speeds up to a whole new level, a level I’m sure isn’t healthy, as I stare at Daniel and process what he just said. He wants me to be his girlfriend. I want to be his girlfriend but I don’t know if I should accept. I don’t want to get hurt again, but I don’t want to miss out on what could be the best thing to ever happen to me.

I slide over until I’m straddling him and our faces are inches apart. His hands instantly wrap around my waist and he gently kisses my neck, making me shiver.

“I want to kiss you so bad.” He says hoarsely, “but first I need an answer.”

“My answer is yes.” I whisper against his lips. And then he kisses me.
