Jungkook's pov
Luna turned out to be my age, 1m65 -about which she made a huge fuss like all small people do *cough* Jimin *cough*- and a lowkey Belieber. When I told her I liked him too she looked happily surprised. She took her phone out and played several songs: Fall, 2U, love yourself, ...
We sang our hearts out, a few old ladies that passed the playground smiled when they heard us.
"Jeez, Justin! Your voice! If you were a singer I'd be a fan!" Luna shouted after we'd been singing for a while. I grinned, her enthusiasm was contagious. "I can dance too," I said: "Wanna see?"
"Show me!" Luna's phone played 'Sorry', she turned up the volume. I let the beat take over and my body moved on its own. I was emerged in the music. For the first in a long time, I was doing the things I love to do most. I laughed wholeheartedly, Luna was cheering from the sides. Obviously impressed. I made a fist with my right hand and moved my right arm up. Wrong move. Pain ran through me as if I were struck by lightning. My knees went weak and I fell. My left arm holding on to my right.
"Justin!" I heard something fall on the ground as Luna hurried over.
"Aish..." I bit my tongue to prevent myself from cursing. I felt betrayed by my own body.
Luna kneeled beside me. "Justin, are you ok? What happened?" The worried look in her eyes made everything worse. I got angry: at myself, for trying to prove I could do it, but also at the person who caused my injury. I stood up and walked out of the playground. It's all his fault!
I was so angry I almost kicked the door open when I got home.
"Jin!" I yelled as I ran into the living room. The eldest hyung got up from the sofa. "Yah! What's with that tone?" he said. I ran up to him and grabbed his collar with my good arm. "It's all your fault!" I forgot about speaking formally to an elder person. The other hyungs gathered in the living room, alarmed by my informal way of speaking.
"Yah, Jeon Jungkook! What are you talking about?" Namjoon asked.
I let go of Jin-hyung and put up my bad arm. "This is," I pointed at the house. "The fact that we're here is!" everyone's face grew dark as they looked at the floor. Jin's eyes glazed over, he mumbled he was sorry and ran out the door. Jimin ran after him but didn't follow him outside. "Jin-hyung!" he yelled but it didn't help. He closed the door and looked at me. "Yah! Did you have to say it like that?" he asked: "Do you think he doesn't know that you're in pain because of him? Do you think he did it on purpose? He didn't want this for you! You of all people should know that!"
"It's still his fault though! Even if he didn't want this for me, he's the reason we're here!" I yelled.
Namjoon walked up to me and pushed me. "It's not his fault! We're all the reason we're here! Each and every one of us! Each of us for his own reason! Just because yours was created by someone else does not give you the right to blame him for everything." he yelled.
I looked at my hyungs faces. They each had troubled expressions on their faces. I felt like there was something they weren't telling me. A mixture of shame and guilt fell over me as I calmed down.
"Whatever," I said, and I ran up to my room to avoid them for the rest of the day.
Luna's pov
After Justin had left I stayed where I was, thinking about what I had done to make him leave so suddenly. He'd mumbled something in a language I didn't understand but from the way he held his arm, I knew something was wrong. I shook my head and stood up. I picked up my phone, luckily it survived the fall. Time to go home I guess. I kept thinking about what had happened, I was so caught up in my thoughts I almost didn't notice the guy sitting on the bench in front of my house. I noticed something shiny falling from his cheeks. He was crying?!? I heard him mumble "I'm sorry." over and over as I walked past him. I glanced at him from the side, he was handsome. I went inside to discover my parents weren't home yet. But they did leave me something to eat. After dinner, I went up to my room and read a story on Wattpad. I had finished five chapters when I noticed it was getting dark outside. I stood up to close the curtains. As I was closing the curtains I noticed that guy was still sitting there. I went outside to look. The crying had slowed down to sniffing and looking sad. His eyes were puffy but he still looked handsome. I was about to speak when I heard his stomach produce something similar to a whale's mating call. It caught me by surprise, causing me to giggle. That caught his attention. He looked surprised when he saw me.
"I bet they heard that in China." I said: "You should go home and eat something."
"I don't think that's a good idea," he said as he turned his face towards the ground.
Something about the way he said that made me speak before I could think.
"Come in then." I said: "You should eat, and it's getting cold."
He looked hesitant but his stomach got angry and growled at him. His ears turned red. "I guess I'll take you up on that offer," he said. He followed me inside, I urged him to sit down at the table, which he did. I put some bread and spreads in front of him and watched as he ate. He had a weird habit of moaning after he took a bite. He looked at ease so I left the kitchen to give my parents a call.
When I came back into the kitchen he was already cleaning up. Putting everything back where I got it from. I decided to try one more time. "You should go home," I said.
He looked up at me, his eyes wide. "Am I bothering you?" he asked.
"No, no you're not, but I think it would be for the best if you went home."
His shoulders drooped and his expression darkened. A guilty feeling started working its way up to my consciousness.
"You know what?" I said. He looked at me, his face showed no signs of hope whatsoever. "You can stay here tonight, " I said. "I don't know what happened at home but you look like you're not ready to go back. And I don't want you to roam the streets, so stay here where it's warm." He looked surprised and smiled. "Thank you!"
I smiled as I prepared the sofa for him. "Sorry," I said as I laid out the blanket. "It's the only one I could find." he looked at the pink blanket with flower print and smiled. "It's ok, I love pink." He took the blanket and told me he'd do the rest himself. I was halfway up the stairs when I turned around. "I'm Luna by the way."
He looked up and smiled. "I'm Genie. Thanks again."
"No problem." I said: "Goodnight."
"Goodnight," he said as he threw me a flying kiss.
