Jin's pov

I laughed as I got in my friend's car.
"I'm glad he's doing ok," I said.
"Me too,"

He started the engine and drove out of the underground parking garage.
I was about to tell him to watch out for the pedestrians who walk wherever they please around here when a girl appeared out of nowhere, and ran in front of the car.
My friend slammed the brakes so hard his head hit the wheel and mine almost hit the dashboard.

He hadn't hit her but she startled and fell anyway. I recognized her as she got up and ran off. Luna looked unstable, like a new-born deer that's learning how to walk.
I didn't know what to do, help my friend or run after Luna.

So I did the first after shooting the others a text.

Yoongi's pov

"Someone else will handle that," Kaylee breathed in my ear as she put her hands under my shirt.
I grinned, and threw my phone in a corner of the hotel room.

Jimin's pov

"Hyung! Do you have your charger?" I asked Hoseok-hyung.
"No, sorry Jimin-ah, my phone's dead too," he said as he used a towel to wipe the sweat off his forehead.
"Let's go over it one more time before we go home," I suggested.
"Make that two," he grinned.

Namjoon's pov

Jungkook listened attentively as I explained everything. He had come up with some stuff himself and I couldn't wait to use for our next album. But we still had a long way to go, that's why I banned our cell phones from the studio after he checked his one too many times.

Taehyung's pov

I was already on my way to the hospital when Jin-hyung texted me that Luna had run away. So I pulled over and called him.

"What direction did she go?" I asked as soon as he picked up.
"I don't know, it happened too fast!" he whined.
"Yah!" I growled.
"I'm sorry ok! We almost ran her over, she fell and got back on her feet before run-wobbling off!"
"Never mind I'll find her without you!"

As I hung up, the find my friend app caught my eye.
"Fingers crossed," I murmured as I opened it.

I was lucky.

It found her almost immediately.

But my heart stopped as I saw where she was headed.

"Mapo bridge..."

I had to make a U-turn. But instead of driving a bit further and making one where I was supposed to make one, I did the stupidest thing: I turned around right after I got back on the road and hit another car's bumper.
I growled a curse word and got out of the car.

"Yah! This crazy bastard!" the owner of the car yelled.
"I'm so sorry sir! I wasn't paying attention!" I shouted as I bowed in apology.
"Oh! Taehyung-ah!"
I looked up, "Jin-hyung??"
"Yah! Did you find Luna yet?" he asked as he hurried over to me.
"No, I hurried and got myself into this mess,"
"Hey, we'll settle this later. Go find Luna, be careful!"
He guided his friend back into his car and waved at me.
"Thanks hyung!" I yelled as I hurried away.

Luna's pov

Tears streamed over my cheeks as I typed the messages. I made sure I had said everything I wanted to say, including thing I'd never admit when face to face with the receiver.

I eyed the water and whispered: "Goodbye..." as I pressed send.

Taehyung's pov

My phone beeped on the passenger's seat as I came close to Mapo bridge, or suicide bridge as it is popularly called. I glanced at the screen and spotted Luna's name.
Panicked, I pulled over as quickly as I could and opened the message.

"Dear Taehyung,

Thank you for everything you've ever done for me.
We may have had our rough moments and I admit you broke my heart multiple times, but I still love you. I promise I'll always love you no matter where I am.
You were the one.
Stay safe, don't skip meals.

Luna"

My heart stopped.
"No... God please NO!"
I checked the app again and confirmed my worst case scenario as the dot representing Luna's phone stood in the middle of the river.

I whimpered her name, slumping against the wheel and bawled as I could feel my heart break, very slowly. I let out a scream in agony every time it cracked a little bit further.

That's how I remained in the car for I don't know how long, till Junho-ssi appeared out of nowhere and took me home where the others sat quietly. Some were crying, the others had cried. I could see Kaylee's shoulders shake as she hid her face behind Yoongi's back, he scrunched up his face in a mixture of anger and sadness.

We didn't really talk much that day, or the day after, or at her funeral, or the next month, when Jin-hyung received his draft notice.

I lost my voice due to depression.
Jimin could still sing but he chose not to.
Kaylee and Yoongi-hyung started to argue more and more till the day Yoongi decided to join the army together with Namjoon. He hoped the distance would be a helpful break. Kaylee didn't stop him but she wrote him almost every day.
She hung out more with Hoseok, who compensated losing his chance to make up with Luna by looking after Kaylee while Yoongi wasn't around.

We survived every day, kept ourselves busy.
Jimin help train the trainees, Hoseok-hyung and Kaylee were their managers. I helped Jimin with the choreographies or wandered around to take pictures. Jungkook spent all day doing sport and came home to produce. He hadn't touched a gaming console in forever. We were worried about him, afraid he might hurt himself.

One day, I was strolling through Seoul mindlessly, when I found myself at Mapo bridge. Right next to a part of the railing that asked me if I had eaten yet.

"This is where she jumped..." I thought as I recalled a line from her message.

'Stay safe, don't skip meals.'

I wiped my tears and took a deep breath.
"I hope you're doing well Luna, no matter where you are," I thought, hanging my head.

Suddenly I spotted something attached to the bottom of the railing. I crouched down, and reached for it but froze when I realised what it was.

Luna's necklace...

I hurried to remove it from the railing and hung the necklace around my neck, under my shirt. As close to my heart as possible.

I felt a weight lift from my heart. Having her necklace felt like she was still with me somehow.
"I miss you," I mouthed.

Two months later

Jungkook's pov

I rolled my eyes as Jimin-hyung took my bag from me.
"Why won't you listen when we tell you to stay put?" he groaned.
"Oh come on, I'm fine! It's just a sprain!" I yelled, clutching my sprained wrist.
"Shush!"
"But!" I protested.
"SHUSHHHHHH"
Hoseok-hyung, who stood next to me, dramatically wiped his face with his hands and flicked his hand. "Keep your dirty water for yourself Jimin," he murmured.
I giggled as I walked away from them and went to Taehyung-hyung.
"What are you thinking hyung?" I asked.
He typed something on his phone and let me read.
"You're right, it's not the same without them. Let's go after this trip," I suggested, earning me a look that shouted: "Are you crazy?"
"We have to go one day. And to be honest, it would distract you way better than what we're doing now"
He sighed and nodded, agreeing on my proposal to enlist together after the trip.

Kaylee reappeared a little while later, with the daughter of the owner of the hotel.
"Ok guys, this is Amaris. She'll guide us around before going to China to volunteer in a rehab clinic. So if there's anything you really want to see you should ask her now so she can plan it all," Kaylee said as she motioned to the girl next to her.

Amaris, a small blonde girl with bright green eyes smiled and said: "Hi, my name is Amaris, I'm 20 years od and I'll be your best friend/ guide for the next three days,"

Something inside me stirred and before I could stop myself I said: "Nice to meet you Amaris, my name is Justin, Justin Seagull."

A/N: maybe not unimportant ;)

Amaris means 'child of the moon' in Old Irish and 'given by God' in Hebrew
