Samuel's pov

"Luna!" I yelled.

She froze.

"Luna! Stop!"

She turned around.

Her eyes grew wide. She stared at me as if she had seen a ghost.

I smiled as I locked eyes with her.

"Luna." I said.

"Samuel..." she murmured.

I wanted to give her a hug but she stepped away from me, shaking her head.

"This can't be... you're dead... I must be going crazy with everything that's happened lately." she scoffed as tears formed in the corners of her eyes.

"Luna?" I began to worry. This was not exactly the kind of reunion I had imagined. Luna looked older than when I last saw her four months ago. The twinkle she always had was nowhere to be seen. The look of joy had been wiped off her face and replaced by one of sorrow and sadness.

"Samuel-ssi!" Taehyung shouted. Luna looked past me and gasped. I turned around to look at the singer. He had something to do with this. "You!" I boomed, drawing the attention of everyone within a 10-meter radius. Taehyung stared at me fear written on his face.

"Care to explain why she's crying?"

"S-s-samuel-ssi... p-p-please w-w-wait a m-minute." he stammered.

I felt someone grab my arm, Luna looked up at me and said. "Not here." she let go of me, grabbed her suitcase and went outside to haul a cab.

I ran up to her. "Are you ok?" I asked.

She looked up at me and asked: "Do I look like I'm ok? We'll talk about this later. We need to get out of here first."

When we arrived back at her apartment, she ignored Taehyung completely and only spoke to the others. At least that habit of hers hadn't changed yet. All of us sat down in the living room. Luna had put her suitcase back into her room.

Everyone looked at me when my little sister said: "Ok, please tell me there's a solid reason why you're still alive and haven't contacted me or our parents in three months?"

"It's quite stupid really..." I confessed.

Three months ago

Namjoon took my ticket out of my hand and gave me another one.

"Go see your sister." he said. I looked at the ticket.

"Really?" I asked as I took my bags. All eight of them nodded.

"Thank you guys so much! Oh my god! Luna is going to love this!" I yelled as I ran to the gate.

I called my parents while waiting in line.

"Hey! Good news! I got my hands on tickets for an earlier flight! I'm boarding now. Ok bye!"

I hung up the phone before it was my turn. But suddenly nature called.

I cursed silently and got out of the line. I ran to the restrooms, dropped my bags outside the toilet and went inside.

"Just in time... I shouldn't have eaten the spicy ramen..." I murmured to myself. When I came out of the toilet my stuff was gone. I started asking around:

"Excuse me, I lost my bag."

"Did you see my bag?"

But no one had time to talk to me.

I reached for my phone.

"Huh?" it was gone. I groaned as I remembered I had put everything in my bag.

Long story short, I ended up going to the police, they didn't believe me and asked for my ID. Of course, I didn't have my ID because I had put it in my bag so they sent me away.

I ended up on the streets. I had nothing. I had been roaming around, trying to find the Belgian embassy for three days when a couple of friendly people took me in for the night. They fed me and offered me to make a phone call but I didn't remember any phone numbers apart from my own. I ended up on the streets again, became friends with a group of homeless people who helped me a little.

I couldn't help but think about how my little sister would be doing, I bet she's worried sick.

"I'm sorry Luna... Please stay strong..." (Chapter 18: Move)

"Luna, please don't worry about me and take care of yourself." (Chapter 20: Chores)

"I'm sorry Luna, I'm so sorry..." (Chapter 22: Wrong)

"How do I get out of this mess?" (Chapter 27: Bang)

"I have to be strong if I ever want to see my family again." (Chapter 28: Hope)

A couple of days ago

"Luna? What is she doing here? With Jackson of all people? Oh it doesn't matter, wait.... What's going on? No! Luna! Wait! Why are you leaving?" (Chapter 34: Quiet)

I had not realized three months had passed in the meantime. Hunger and the need to find a place to sleep kind of makes you forget about time.

I tried to follow Luna but it was useless. Then I saw BTS, I hoped they would recognize me but unfortunately they didn't. I somehow stumbled upon my sister and Taehyung, she saw me but didn't recognize me either.

A few hours ago

I reunited with my homeless friends, explained the situation and they offered me money to go to a bathhouse. I didn't want to take it but they insisted and even dragged me to one.

I cleaned up nicely and went back to the apartment, only to see my sister storm out and take a cab. Luckily, the guys did recognize me when I approached them and they brought me to the airport.

Present

Everyone stared at me.

"Are you serious?" Kaylee asked.

I nodded.

Luna cleared her throat and said: "So... basically... all of this happened because you ate spicy ramen?"

I thought about it and realized she was right. "I'm never eating spicy ramen again." I vowed to myself.

Luna stared at me. I couldn't read what was going on inside her head. Of course all this is surprising. But I hope she's happy to see me at least.

She sighed.

I smiled at her and said: "I missed you Little Moon." using her old nickname.

"I'm happy for you that you're still alive." She said as she got up and walked to the balcony.

Her emotionless voice surprised me.

"Luna?"

"You should let mother and father know you're still alive." She mumbled in a monotone voice as she turned around and tossed her phone to me. I barely managed to catch it and looked back at her. "Luna?" I repeated her name.

"You can sleep in my room I'll share with Kaylee."

"Luna!" I got angry.

She looked me in the eye and said something I never thought I would hear from my beloved little sister: "Unless you prefer the streets."
