The Return Of Scourge

Chapter 3 Part 3 - The Gathering

I just realised that i forgot to put Shadepaw's and Skypaw's mentor in the last chapter, I really apologise ;-;. Skypaw's mentor is Sandstorm and Shadepaw's mentor is Longtail just to let you guys know.

P.S - Wirekit is female and Gearkit is male!

Tomorrow would be the gathering, and Scourge wasn't looking forward to it, a few reasons, One, He is basically a Scourge Reborn, Two, he is a mass murderer that almost killed all the clans, and Three, Socks and Ruby are probably coming. Oh and Four, Scourge was also probably coming, plus he has Gearkit and Wirekit to deal with now. Scourge poked his head outside his den and scanned the moon-lit clearing for any signs of cats, Scourge checked one more time before skeaking tgroigh the brambles of the entrance and shuffling into the bush where Wirekit and Gearkit are. They are now about three moons old and should begin basic training, "Dad" whispered Wirekit, "Yes Wirekit?" the leader stared at his adopted kit, "why are we hiding?, cant we meet your clan thing?" Wirekit asked, Scourge shook his head "No, Wirekit, its dangerous" "but why is it dangerous?" Gearkit pushed into the conversation, "they are clan cats, they protect their territory and would probably cast you away" Scourge explained, the kits stared at his blankly but didnt push further, curling up close to Scourge and drifting off into sleep.

The next morning, Firestar's yowl sunk through the thick leaves and branched that grew over the three silent cats, "Gearkit, Wirekit listen," said cats blinked open their eyes and sleepily turned towards Scourge, "I wont be here until next sunrise, can you wait until then?" Gearkit shrugged and went back to sleep while Wirekit waited for Scourge to say more, "Wirekit, protect your brother ok? if anything comes and tries to kill you, run North, towards FourTrees" the kit nodded and curled herself around her brother. Scourge licked the kits' heads once more before crawling underneath the bushes that protected Thunderclan.

"Cats that will be attending the gathering with me will be..." Firestar's voice drifted away as Scourge looked down at his paws. Out of no where the space around him darkened, and his paws were stained with crimson blood, "-Scourge" the Tom's head shot up at the call of his name, "These cats will be attending the Gathering tonight" Firestar continued on, Called it Scourge thought, eyes glimmering in the dusk light. I cant wait to see the other leaders!, Greystripe had told me that before Mistystar became leader of Riverclan, Leapordstar was leader!, Scourge thought, and the leader of Shadowclan after i had... removed Tigerstar was Blackstar? and Windclans leader is Tallstar..

Firestar leaped from rock to rock, slowly climbing the hill that separated Thunderclan from Fourtrees. At the top, the flame pelted leader paused for a moment, gazing over the clearing. Scourge thought Firestar was hesitating to enter Fourtrees, but as soon as Scourge began walking towards him, Firestar plundged into the clearing. The cats already there looked up from what they were doing, and Blackstar padded up to Firestar and greeted him with a respectful bow. "Firestar may we talk in private for a moment?" Blackstar meowed, Firestar nodded, "sure", Scourge could've sworn that Blackstar casted a gaze that sceamed, I know your up to something so leave this forest and never return!, Scourge looked away, pretending not to see it.

The Gathering started after Firestar had returned and jumped onto the Great Rock, the whole conversation seemed like a blur, until it was Firestar's turn to speak. His shoulders tensed as he stepped forward, into the moonlight, "..Thunderclan had been doing well with training warriors, We have two new apprentices, Skypaw and Shadepaw!" Firestar announced, the cats in the clearing yowled out their names, Firestar shuffled on his feet and let out a long breath, "cats of the Gathering.." he started again, "please, do not panic and attack, but.." Nightstar narrowed his eyes, Mistystar looked at the smooth rock, and Tallstar's tail twitched with nervousness, "When... My clan were building the wall barriers to our camp.." Nightstar leaped to his paws, "Spit it out!" he yowled, Mistystar flicked her tail at Nightstar, "let him go at his own pace, this is a major setback the forest and its clans, it must be dealt with caution" she hissed. Firestar trembled lightly "Scourge, was not... really dead, he came back" The gathering cats were silent, "Scourge, come up here and say your words". Scourge leaped onto the Great rock, next to Firestar, and stepped forward, "Cats of the clans!" he meowed, "I know i have been bad in the past" he started, gazing around, "but i want to change, i want to be the greatest warrior in the forest!, and protect those i love!" he yowled, all was silent, until a voice rose above them all, two voices actually, Socks and Ruby. "I hope you will stick to your word, you have come so far!" They meowed, the rest of the cats joined in, Blackstar growled and whipped around, stomping away with his clan at his heals.. Watch your back, cause I will kill you, Scourge!, He thought.
