The Gathering group were walking up the hill, back towards Thunderclan camp. All of a sudden, the ground started shaking. One of the Riverclan cats yowled, "Groundshake!", Firestar quickly burst into a sprint, "A Groundshake?, There hasn't been one in moons!" Sandstorm meowed, "we have to get to clear ground before the trees start falling!" Firestar yelled over the cracking, Scourge didn't know what was going on, he had never experienced a groundshake before.
Scourge looked around at the wobbling trees that threatened to fall, a loud crash echoed behind them, and Scourge jumped forward, looking over his shoulder, That tree almost crushed me!, he thought. Looking through the gaps, Scourge caught sight of a towering rock, "Firestar!, Over there!" Scourge shouted, Firestar started running towards the giant rock. Socks and Ruby were falling behind, Those mouse-brains..., Scourge skidded to a stop and ran backwards, towards them. Another deafening cracking noise was heard above the three cats, "Don't just stand there!" Scourge yowled, "RUN!!", slowly, they got up and fled. Scourge followed, far behind, but a tree crashed right on his tail, Scourge screamed in agony as the bones in his tail were crushed under the heavy weight, Scourges cries flowed through the forest as he pushed the tree slowly off his tail.
I'm going to die... Scourge thought, well, i've lived a Bittersweet life..., Scourge layed down and waited for his death to come, but nothing happened. The Groundshake was still grappling the forest and swinging it around, but Scourge felt lighter, more lively. Slowly, the tom opened his eyes and peered around him at his back, Scourge gasped in shock to see two almost transparent wings. They were glowing an aqua-ish light blue and floated just above his back, Scourge, can you hear me?, a voice mewed in his head, yes, i can hear you. who is this?, Im your father, Tiny, my name is Jake, Father?, Yes, Tiny. Starclan has given you a these wings for purposes unknown to me. Scourge nodded his head, even though he knew his father couldnt see it, They say that you will find a purpose for these wings in the future, bu-... alright. Scourge straightened up and stood on his paws, wobbling because of his broken tail, Dont worry dad, I wont abuse this power, i will treat it with care, the leader closed his eyes, his wings speading and arching for flight. Whatever Starclan was thinking, im pretty sure they dont want me to show the clan these wings, Scourge thought, his wings moved up and down, making an air current around him. Finally, Scourge's paws lifted off the ground, and his body flew towards the rock at an unimaginable speed, Stop, stop flapping, STOP FLAPPING BEFORE-, Scourge crashed into the rock with a loud thump, To late... now how do we make the wings invisible?, He thought, Maybe by saying hide?, that could probably work.. "Hide!" Scourge hissed softly. The wings sparkled, then faded away, Scourge could still feel the weight of them, but they were invisible.
Claws scrabbled on the smooth stone as the Bloodclan leader heaved himself up onto the edge of the rock, "S-scourge!!" Ruby exclaimed, Firestar, who was by her side, turned his head around and ran over to lift Scourge up. "We are so glad that you are alive!" Cloudtail mewed, his blue eyes landed on Scourge's broken tail, "Scourge, y-your tail!, it's broken!" "no need to worry about that!" Scourge said quickly, "it's just a bend!, it will heal in a few moons" he added, shifting his tail behind him. "Cinderpelt, take a look at his tail" Firestar ordered, "Scourge how did you escape the falling trees?" Scourge shuffled uncomfortably, "uhh... lucky escape??" he answered. Far away, Firestar was unaware, of the glimmering amber eyes that studied the clan cats closely, the bushes ruffled and the cat was gone..
I am so sorry for this short chapter!, i will try to make the next chapter long!, Comment an idea if you have one and I might add it into the book! <3
P.S - who do you think the mysterious cat was? >:D
