Chapter 9

🦉Annabeth's POV🦉

"Not bad Annabeth, lets go one more time"

Asuna and I were in the training room in our guild house, or more like a guild palace.

We were practicing our sword techniques, ones that I am not that familiar with due to me being a dagger user.

Asuna was obviously the better one out of both of us with a sword, but I think I would have a high chance of winning if I was able to use my dagger.

"Want to do another round? We have 15 minutes till the council meeting starts" Asuna asked.

"I say we take a break, I don't feel like stressing myself out before a meeting" I answered. After all, it really isn't good going to discuss with other people if you are stressed.

"Alright, good idea" She rested her head in the wall and slowly moved into a sitting position in the floor.

We sat in silence for around 7 minutes, until Asuna decided to break it.

"Do you think we will ever get out of this game?"

The question caught me off guard, and I could tell Asuna was in deep thought as she said that.

"Why do you ask? Of course we'll get out! After all, the front-lines are packed with people, all of which have one goal, and that is to help the people of this world to return back to their loved ones. You should know that, after all, we are part of the front-lines! You are second-in-command for Zeus sake!"

She looked at me weirdly.

"Zeus sake?"

I blushed a deep shade of red.

"I uh, my mom always says that instead for some unknown reason, but I've grown to say it too" I said.

I guess it has to do with how my mother and I always liked to read mythology books. I was a weird kid that didn't like what other kids liked. I used to read 4th grade books while I was in 1st grade. My mom didn't seem to be bothered by it, after all, she is a writer and enjoys books as much as I do now, probably more.

"I think you're right. I shouldn't think like that, I should think about getting us out, and getting us out only. Thats my goal" Asuna said with a determined look.

I looked at her with a smile. She smiled back, and then proceeded to look at the clock in the the top-center of the wall across from her.

"We have around 3 minutes, lets get going"

I followed her out of the room, and we walked around the guild house until we got to a large door in-front of us. Asuna proceeded to open it, and as we walked in, Heathcliff gave us a warm smile.

"Now that everyone is here, let the meeting begin"

"You came back! I thought you left us forever!" Piper was in the verge of tears.

"I know I took some time, the plan kind of backfired on me" Leo said while taking Piper into a warm embrace.

"You know I wont leave you like that"

"Yeah thats nice and we missed you, but how come it took you so long?" Hazel asked.

After all, he only just went to recruit people for our guild. It would only take Leo to make it backfire on him.

"Yeah, well, there was this one guy who wanted to join and said that he was level 59 and would be a good asset to the team.

"Of course, I felt as if it wasnt true, since he looked really pale and skinny, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

"So I start walking with him to a high level monster area to see what he was all about. We could take care of them easily if he was 59, right? Makes sense, but not with this guy. As soon as we got there and the first monster attacked, he ran away, leaving me all alone in the forrest, surrounded by high level monsters" He finished with a sigh, while we all looked at him with awe.

"Anyways, Im back now. How bout we go out to eat something? Im starving"

"Aren't you always starving Leo?" Piper remarked.

"Well, maybe, but right now im like, EXTRA starving, if you know what I mean"

"I really don't, but whatever floats your boat I guess"

And so we started walking along the streets of the town we were on and eventually found a good enough restaurant for us to eat at.

⚡Jason's POV⚡

"So, Jason, ya like jazz?"

I almost choked on my drink when Percy said that.

"Wha-what? What the hell are you talking about?"

"I dunno, I'm bored and I was wondering if you liked jazz, you know?" Percy said.

"Right Percy, you keep doing what you're doing, don't let me ruin your vibe"

"As if I'd let anyone ruin my vibe. I can proudly say I won gold medal at the Olympic Games by not letting anyone ruin my vi-"

"What are you two idiots doing here?"

"...She ruined my vibe"

Annabeth was standing about 4 feet away from our table, along with someone who looked oddly familiar. Wait...

"Asuna, is that you?" Percy asked the girl beside Annabeth. Of course it was Asuna, now I remember.

"Hey guys, long time no see huh"  Asuna started.

"Yeah, we never knew what happened to you after you STRAIGHT UP ABANDONED US" Percy exclaimed

"I-I'm sorry Percy, I-I just needed so-sometime to get my stuff together"

"Woah Percy calm down a bit, Asuna has her reasons, no need to say that." But then I remembered.

"Ooooh sorry Asuna, Percy got worked up because, ehm"

I got closer to them and whispered

"Because Annabeth ruined his vibe"

Annabeth looked confused to say the least. "What do you mean I ruined his so called 'vibe', I don't ruin anything except my enemies faces"

"Right." Asuna continued "So anyways guys, what are you doing here? Have you come to join the front-lines? I've seen Kirito come now and then, but never have I seen you guys around here"

"Yup" I responded, purposely popping the 'p'.

"Jason, we have to go, Nico and Bianca are waiting for us" Percy reminded me.

"Shoot, I forgot, we have to get going. I guess we'll see you girls about 5 days from now for the raid?"

"Sure thing, Jason. And, uh, say hi to Kirito for me"

"No problem"

Percy started dragging me away, and up until we got to the restaurant's door did he let go of me.

"Alright, lets get going then"

I'm begging you all to forgive me, please, for not updating for who knows how long, and I accept whatever punishment you may have for me, since I have absolutely no excuses.

What I will do, though, is start updating, from now on, weekly. If not weekly, maybe every two weeks, or maybe somewhere inbetween.

I will not stop unless I actually have an excuse and only if I tell you guys beforehand why I would stop updating.

So, I hope you enjoyed l, at the very least, this brand new chapter, and have a good one everyone.
