"Luuuuuukee!" Calum whined, trying to get his phone back.

"Nope. You have been glued to this all day and I want attention." Luke announced.

"We've been giving you attention!" Mikey exclaimed.

"I need all the attention!" Luke laughed, handing Calum back his phone.

"Okay, you have our attention," Calum announced, putting his phone into his school bag.

It was lunchtime on a Thursday and they were all sitting in their spot under an old tree outside. It was near the oval but there was a garden shed dividing them. It was tucked away and no one really went there, that's why the boys liked it so much. They could be themselves without fear of bullying and judgement when they were in their spot.

"I was thinking we could continue writing that song for music. We haven't really worked on it at all." Luke explained.

"That's true. We probably should or its not going to get done in time." Ashton agreed.

He pulled his notebook from his bag and flipped to the page that had the lyrics they had already written on it. They ended up sitting in a small circle with the notebook in the centre. They were all analysing the lyrics and brainstorming in their heads.

"Wait I know," Calum said, picking up the notebook and writing down his idea.

"See a war, I wanna fight it
See a match, I wanna strike it
Every fire I've ignited
turned to grey?" he read aloud when he had finished.

"What about faded to grey," Mikey suggested.

"Yeah, good idea" Calum scribbled it down.

"Can I have a shot?" Ashton asked.

The notebook and pen were passed to Ashton and he began to write.

"But now that I'm broken
Now that you know it
Caught up in a moment
Can you see inside?"

"That's really good" Luke complimented.

"Okay so the order it goes in is the bit Luke wrote, the bit Cal wrote, Ashton's bit and then the chorus I wrote." Michael said as he wrote it out on a fresh piece of paper."

"This song is depressing so far." Calum pointed out the obvious.

"Next time we can write a happy song," Ashton reassured

Next time.

Luke discovered how much he hated horror movies. They were all at Luke's place because he mum was out on a business trip. She had been out a lot recently. The boys had moved the coffee table and set up a bunch of pillows and blankets on the floor. They were watching the conjuring 2 and Luke was so scared he had ended up curled in Ashton's lap with his hands over his eyes but his fingers parted so he could still see. He didn't really want to watch the movie anymore so he focused on a piece of thread that was sticking out of the rip in his black skinny jeans. After a while, he started getting bored but he was determined not to look back at the TV. He couldn't get comfortable either, once again he was shuffling around in Ashton's lap. Ashton's hands came to his hips, holding him firmly in place.

"Princess, if you don't stop moving I'm going to have a problem," Ashton spoke sternly into Luke's ear, sending a blush to his cheek.

The other boys heard, telling them to shush with smirks on their faces. He stayed still after that. Luke ended up turning his attention back to the TV just in time to be scared shitless by a grotesque looking nun. The boys all jolted a bit, a couple curse words were heard from Mikey and scolding was given from Ashton. Subconsciously Luke shuffled again, not realising he ground his ass down on Ashton.
