Chapter 8: New Arrivals

It took the group a while but they eventually arrived in Muto village. Pando ran straight to the dock to look at the ships. He had a sort of unhealthy obsession with pirate stuff. Tsuyoi went to ask the town's people about anything suspicious or a place to stay. That left Nekro and Nicole, Nekro had a massive hand print on the side of his face but he was still smirking. "Stop smirking!" Nicole yelled at the boy. "What's wrong with my smirks? You know you love them!" Nekro said, his smirk growing. "I don't love them and I don't love you!" Nicole screamed causing some villagers to stare. "Then why are you yelling?" Nekro asked still smirking. "I have shit to do, so I'm gonna go. Later Doofus!" Nicole said as she walked into an old looking house. "Nailed it." Nekro said with a smile. Nekro soon realised he had nothing to do. Nekro left to the border of the village and into the forest. He climbed a tree and took a nap. When he awoke a beautiful girl with brown hair sat under the tree reading a book. Nekro had a wonderful angle above her so that he could see her chest from above. Nekro tried to get a better look and ultimately fell out of the tree landing a few feet away from the girl. The girl wasn't very phased by his fall and tilted her head slightly. "You okay?" She asked closing her book. "I-I'm fine, it's just a broken back. Nekro said standing up slowly. She helped him up and dusted him off slightly. "Thanks, I'm Nekro." Nekro said smirking. "That's quite the smirk for a guy who fell on his face." She laughed a little. "I'm Kaya." She said pushing her glasses up on the bridge of her nose. "You have a pretty nice rack." Nekro stated bluntly smirking of course. "I also have a pretty nice sword." She reached for her waist which was where she kept her blade. Nekro somehow wasn't fazed by the death threat. "Hey, it was just a complement." Nekro said still smirking. "Hmm, unphased by a threat from Muto's top guard huh?" She said with an eyebrow raised. "Y-you're a guard? That's awesome! This village is being protected by eye candy." Nekro said as he was kicked in his dumplings. Nekro fell to the floor. "Welcome to Muto." She said bluntly. Nekro rose to his feet and watched her walk away. "She's got a nice ass too." Nekro said to himself. Within an instant she was back infront of him with her blade to his throat. "Hm? What did you say?" She asked bluntly. Nekro lowered her blade using his finger. "I said you have a nice ass." Nekro said honestly. She rolled her eyes and sheathed her blade. "You know it's dangerous to roam outside the village without a weapon." She said scanning him for any signs of a weapon. "I am a weapon." Nekro said cockily. "So your like Soul from Soul Eater?" She asked pointing at her book. "N-no, I meant I don't need a weapon, b-but I dual wield swords if I need to use a weapon." Nekro stated confidently. "Dual blades? That's not a very balanced style. In fact it's quite the opposite. Dual blades is very aggressive and rush down. It's good for overwhelming but if you miss a couple slashes you're kinda left open, and screwed." She pointed out his flaws. Nekro rolled his eyes. "That's why I have my brothers. My youngest brother uses a staff with blades at each end. Great for range and versatility. The middle brother has gauntlets. Made of an alloy he discovered which is stronger than steel and a quarter the weight. The soles of his shoes and kneepads are made of the same thing." Nekro said with a smile. "Solo we're pretty good. As a team. Nobody can match us." Nekro said proudly. "I'd like to see you there against my squad." Kaya said with confidence. "If we win, you go on a date with me." Nekro said smiling. "I win, you buy me dinner." Kaya said boldly. "T-that's still a date." Nekro said confused. Kaya smiled brightly. "I know." She said as she walked away. Nekro sat in the grass. "Women are complicated." Nekro said to himself. "I know right." Pando said hanging upside down from the tree above him. Nekro jumped up. "How much did you see?!" Nekro questioned the Panda eared boy. "Everything! Even you getting all flustered when she basically agreed to a date!" Pando said teasing his older brother. Nekro jumped and did a backflip kicking Pando in the face. Pando hit the ground and landed on his back. "Ya Bish!" Pando said rubbing his head. "Oh save your energy for the fight tomorrow." Nekro said smirking once again. "Cool." Tsuyoi said from behind his brothers. "Oh great you're here too." Nekro said rolling his eyes.
