Chapter 16: Blades

"You sure you're not compensating for anything with that damn thing?" Nekro said jumping back referring to Roth's unusually large blade. "Haven't heard that one before." Roth said sarcastically. Nekro rolled his eyes and dashed at Roth. Trying to block Nekro's flurry of attacks Roth forgot about his opponents speed and is hit before he could put his guard up. "You're too slow!" Nekro said teasingly. Roth now showing his combat efficiency, spins around hitting Nekro across the face with the pommel of his sword sending him flying. "You may be fast, but all you do is swing. Is that how you've gotten by most of your life? Rapidly flailing your blades at a target?" Roth says standing tall. Nekro jabbed one of his swords into the ground and rubbed his face. "I've been hit harder by a Tsundere!" Nekro yelled out picking up his sword. "A what?" Vert says from behind a near by building. "You don't wanna know!" Nekro said gripping his swords tighter. "Hm, let's see if the hero lives up to his title." Roth said to himself. "Huh?" Vert said backing away. Suddenly Roth rushed towards Vert with his eyes gleaming with killing intent. Nekro began his stride to save her. He used his super speed to make it infront of Roth, even with super speed, it was barely enough time. He pushed Vert out of the way and took Roth's swing full force. Roth's blade now resting within Nekro's left shoulder. "Run Vert!" Nekro yelled. He then turned his gaze back to Roth."Jokes on you nerd!" Nekro said weakly. "I'm ambidextrous!" He said stabbing Roth through his stomach. "Well played." Roth said. "Not well enough." He said punching Nekro with his off hand into a near by wall. Nekro let go of his sword in his left hand because he couldn't even make a fist. "One arm, and maximum effort." Nekro said cracking his neck. Once again, the two injured swordsman rush at eachother and their blades clash once more. They continue to clash with their blades clashing, nobody gaining any form of upper hand. Until finally, Nekro is slashed across his chest and sent flying. He slides across the floor eventually losing momentum and stopping. Roth stood above him feeling victorious. "You? His next apprentice? Pitiful!" Roth said doing a generic villain monologue. Suddenly, Tsuyoi ran up to Roth and punched him across the face. "YEET!!" Tsuyoi yelled as Roth flew into a tree. "God, you suck, you can't even beat generic villain number 4." Pando said as he and Kaya walked up to his brothers. "Oh shut up...." Nekro said passing out. "Kaya, get Nekro back to the ship, we'll handle this." Tsuyoi said seriously. "I wanna beat this loser just as bad as you guys!" Kaya said objecting. "Too bad, you'll get to beat somebody's ass in a later chapter." Pando said even though the author said to leave the fourth wall alone. Kaya rolled her eyes, picked up Nekro, and ran off. Tsuyoi cracked his knuckles. "You wanna go first?" He asked. "Sure, why not." Pando said spinning his staff. Roth slowly stood up. "Great, the other two 'heroes'." He said massaging his jaw. "Let's get this done." Pando said spinning his staff and rushing at Roth with Tsuyoi following close behind.
