Chapter 13: Actual Heroes

Nekro, slowly getting over his sea sickness sat atop one of the sails of the boat just like when they arrived in Inertia. He took in the view and let in a breath of fresh air. Looking down he sees his brother's doing they're own things, Pando of course steering the ship. And Tsuyoi practicing his punches of course avoiding hitting the ship, because they'd sink faster than the titanic if he had hit the ship. Kaya sat below him reading her book as always. Suddenly a little girl with bright green hair appeared in a little row boat, she seemed panicked. Suddenly through the cloud of smoke behind her a giant crew of people sped through seeming to chase her. Her facial expression said it all, she was in danger. Without thinking Nekro leapt from the sails of the ship and towards the water. 'What am I doing?! I can barely swim! I better hope my speed is enough to run on water!' He thought as he flipped his legs towards the water. Beginning a running motion Nekro leaned forward hoping he was correct. Before he knew it, he was jetting across the water like a torpedo running on the surface. He smirked looking up at the girls pursuers and reached to his back but to no avail. As he slowly realised he had left his swords on the boat. He had to improvise and decided to leap up drop kicking the one closest to the girl, but with all his momentum instead of falling and hitting the water, he was able to flip and catch himself continuing his sprint looping around and continuing this on the attackers closest to the girl. "Fire the cannons!" Pando commanded from the steering wheel. "We don't have cannons." Tsuyoi said bluntly. "You have fire powers! You are our cannons! Go!" He said pointing at they're adversaries. "Target practice." Tsuyoi said driving his fist into his palm igniting it with fire. "What do I do?" Kaya asked looking up dropping her book. "Motivate Nekro." Pando said looking over at her. "How?" She asked tilting her head. "I dunno, dance or somethin." He said spinning the steering wheel. Her face was soon covered by her palm. "Idiots, I'm traveling with idiots." She said sitting back down. Tsuyoi began throwing balls of fire towards the opponents lighting their biggest ship a blaze. Pando used his water abilities to propel they're ship towards the opponents giving Tsuyoi a better shot. Kaya couldn't really do anything, she didn't have abilities like them, and she didn't have projectiles to use either. Nekro noticing the distance between the pursuers and the girl hopped into her row boat. "Don't worry, we're here to help!" He said with a smile. "T-thank you." She said weakly dropping her ores and collapsing. Nekro having caught her before she caught a face full of boat to the face, propped her up on his back and ran across the water to his brothers. "Let's get the hell out of here!" He said laying the girl next to Kaya. "Right!" Pando said spinning the steering wheel once again turning the ship slowly, but once again using his abilities he sped up they're turn and escape. Kaya tended to the girls injuries and looked up at Nekro. "Pretty selfless for a pervert." She said with am eyebrow raised. "I'm a hero when need be." He said as he quickly smacked her butt and ran up the sail. "Dingus!" She said stomping a bit. Tsuyoi used his abilities to warm the water behind them enough to create a steam to hide they're movements. Our "Heroes" completed they're second heroic act.
